  Jehovah's Witnesses took over my hotel in June (Please read).

  there was a convention in milwaukee from june 20th-22nd.

  the witnesses literally took over our hotel!

  they were more demanding than i remember when i was a kid.

  Elder ignores me at Walgreens here in Milwaukee.

  a month ago i went to walgreens to get some snacks and a newspaper.

  i was walking out when i noticed an elder that i grew up with walking towards me.

  he kinda looked in my direction, the turned his head away and kept walking with his nose in the air.

  i mean what if a government decided to internally deport its jehovah's witnesses and give them their own independent country.

  "here, since you say we are of satan, we're giving you a few square miles so lets see how much better a job your theocracy does, and this way you can't spread your religion.

  Sick article in the WT library!!

  this is one of the saddest articles in the wt library... just two years after the organ transplant ban... a jw decided to not donate a perfectly good kidney because of this doctrine... which was changed in 1980. .

  *** w69 11/15 p. 701 appreciating jehovahs protection ***.

  a difficult decision.

  They have to introduce the fear early as possible to try and ensure these children grow up with a deeply Imbedded fear of salt, er, I mean making jehovah...sad.

  i came across this lecture at 3am not being able to sleep by dan baker.

  it details his transition from christian fundamentalist to atheist and the various shades in-between.

  he realises that every denomination of christian can open the bible and prove to you that they have the right interpretation and everyone else is wrong.

  yes, the jws continue to bleed their young ones, so far in my local kh 3 were dfd, one girl just turned 18 this month and packed her bags and said goodbye to the cult and her cultish parents, another young 18 year old man decided to have a non-jw girlfriend and decided to stop attending and is no longer a witness.

  they continue to leave and wt leaders dont give a damn.

  they dont do anything to help kids be successful and live a healthy life.. .

  Integ, I don't see any wrong in what he posted, fact is black men (and women) face a plethora of issues white men (and women) don't even have to think about. This is fact. I have seen it first hand. It is ugly and very real.

  This breaks my heart. It was needless and the officers behaved in a disgusting way. I know many good cops. Good cops that would never do anything like this...but these disgusting individuals do make it scary for the rest of us. And the truth is black men have to watch themselves more than anyone else. It's a damn shame.

  Need a Game Plan

  i'm not sure what is going on at the convention, but i just got a desperate call from a friend wanting me to attend sunday's morning session.

  last weekend, my mom invited me too.instead of saying something like, "i'm sorry, but i have no intention of going back," and having them completely freak out - i agreed to go to the sunday morning session.

  any recommendations?

  The convention is just like other conventions with a bit more emotional manipulation thrown in for good measure. Afterqll, 100 years of Christ's invisible rule should be celebrated!
