  then along comes the co visit (the first since you've stopped attending).

  everyone has pretty much left you alone up until this point, right?

  Christmas Dinner...some Ideas please!

  if you are hosting, or even for your own family, what are you serving for christmas dinner?.

  i dont't want to do turkey again and i have done enough ham to make everyone board to tears!

  anyone have an unusual dish they serve?.

  How about a ham???

  The spiral honey hams with broccoli/cheese/rice casserole and salad and another veggie could work out quite nice!

  Use the ham for sandwiches later and ham/potatoe/cheese casserole for another family dish later!

  well folks, ever since the end of 1999, when the issue of child abuse among jws was raised, things seemed to have moved slowly ... at least too slowly for those who need and want to see justice done for the vctims.

  in 2000, bill bowen, who was teaming up with those of us already working on the topic, finally emerged in public to start silentlambs, and brought in nbc dateline, etc.

  for much welcome attention.

  Thank you for the update Amazing.

  I caught the last 10 minutes of the may 2002 Dateline exposing the pedophile coverup in the WTBS. That ten minutes, as Dr. Phil would say, was " a defining point in my life".

  Raised a JW and very faithful as one, I couldn't digest the fact that while they spoke openly and critisized the Catholic Church for that problem, now the WTBS has that problem: hypocrisy.

  This is not how "pure worship" (tm) should be.

  There is no way Jehovah could ever approve of a religion protecting pedophiles and doing it using his name. How disgusting!!!

  basd on my comment to another post titled "1979," i thought that this would make an interesting separate topic.. a little history: many here are aware that i was an ms and then elder and of the anointed while a jw.

  i openly professed anointing for 20-years of the 27-years i was associated with the watchtower.

  since that time, i have totally and completely renounced all but one watchtower doctrine.

  Plans for this Christmas and New Years ???

  ok, i am curious if there are any plans for ex jws for these holidays.

  they are my first in 33 years and it looks now like they are going to be just the way that the last ones have been spent.

  any ideas?

  I am much surprized that no one has answered your thread. Must not be any people from your state that posts on JWD..or they are fading and can't say.

  I don't live in your area or close...so I don't know what to suggest.

  Do you have a town close by that has a pub with live music during that time?

  That would be a great way to meet people...

  i just could not believe it when i stumbled across this forum recently.

  i was actually doing research for my dad who wanted to see the world's viewpoint of the failed 1975 prophecy.

  he came into the truth less than three years ago and though my mom has been a witness since she was a teenager she never spoke of that particular time period to him.

  Would the world love JW if they found out how they will turn on family members IF they ever leave the Jw"s?

  Knocking...needs to know about the persecution JW's impose upon members that chose to leave...........then their documentary would NEVER stand a chance to be seen.
