when i was the sound guy, it was always so hard to get brothers to do the mics.
Wow ... maybe because it's too long ago and I don't remember that much but I've never at least seen it as a privilège, just eventually a usefull task like every other (inside and outside de KH) ... Well good question I don't know for sure of course but to me it might be : emotional dependency
But not : low self-esteem ... it could be the reverse or both from time to time

Eddited to add : I think that if my mother haven't been raised in such deep rooted christian familly she might not have been that dependant to religion / My father for instance who had more religious cultural roots (because of his Chineses roots) never have been that much into it ... maybe it just gave him the capacity to thinkl : what is all this ??? first means before : God is everything ...
hello it's been a long time since i was here just needed some input please from all loving parents...would you rather your daughter be:
1. married to a guy who's not really that great (history of having lotsa women, irresponsible) but seems to love/like your daughter.
2. be gay (with woman who is quite good, responsible and everything but - a woman...).
I've read this topic, didn't fell like to comment at first to it but actually I feel concerned somehow :
Lots of thing have been already said and of course I agree (Not our buisiness) but still It's weird as somehow I think that we most of the time feel more objective (seing things from the outside) on our kids (and friends) situation, but that's the thing : from outside ... love in between two people still includes more than that or different kind of love, means other feelings and needs all together ... I'm not that happy with my son's choice as I feel like he loves her way more than she does (and it hurts me, cause a plus I know the feeling !!!) but then again I have to remember that she is very immature and that they have so much in common to share that there must be more than one reason why they are still together ... Also I remember myself just as it took me 11 years going from every kind of feeling for one guy ... from a lover to a friend (only big and too much bullshit got me out somehow sooner than I thought - must have been kind of strong and for lots of reason not even related to him but lots of things and décision I have made at that time for myself) because we had so much in common (past and present at that time - some things that I fell only him could understand and the only one I knew I could share with) now 7 years later after we broke I only can tell that for sure I've loved him way more than he did ... but that just made me stronger and more aware of my real needs (I have no regret about my ways, and what I've put in this relationship = to me it's his loss finally ...) and I know more about what I don't want anymore in a relationship (if no good balance= just stay friend as cool as it can be) ... nobody could have made that experience for me, I had to go trough it ...

he did not know if it would be a few days or a week or so.
he very much regrets this sudden absence considering he has made many friends in a short time and may have left a discussion or two in suspension.

ok ... to me it's not totally related to jw life actually, i'm here because i'm used now to chat with people (you know like you go into a cafe and share wathever you want with whoever as this board is very rich and full for immediat interaction), support them, get some support ... i just like that ... also of course it's very interesting at the same time to follow some news and get information that i might spit back to my familly in time to wake them up .... what about you ?

Well I'm not easely influencable / manipulable ... but I am in some matters in a particular way ... that's why I check constantly (moreover in this area) ... It's good to give others the benefit of the doubt - and I do give it to them (I take that risk as an observer and even as an actor - acting like ok let me make you to believe I don't see a damn thing yet)
But there is a time to put a stop on bullshit ... it first come out as ... hey stop playing game with me !!! (most of the time Big denial) - so I give it a : ok go further ... Just to prove my point at the end (that makes the game a little harder from my first Stop bullshiting me - there is no reason to make it easy ... ) But I'm so curious about how and what will follow that I'm able to let the game running very long in adding my rules little by little in taking the risk to be screwed as I don't care that much ! ... which is stupid and sick somehow but I can't help myself here yet (I still don't know why but for curiosity ... even if it doesn't seem to be an good enough reason !!! ... mean that someone I'm influenced by my own stupidity PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF !!!

Aren't we a kind of big familly at least the WTBS bounded us ... well with troubles in between us sometimes but it doesn't seem to last ... we're bigger than that and that's very cool and constructive !
Ok I can stop now I feel to say a lot of things oy oy oy ... I will try to keep them for another topic like about the value of honesty (in between us) even if what we have to say to each other can hurt if we don't see the good it can do to us ... (I'm guilty of that too of course) it seems that there are some things that we still get too much emotional about ... but I'll stop here maybe someone will open a topic about it !!!
Oh and Somehow, that's in what FranklinJ said about being people from the same school finding ways to still meeting/sharing makes more than sense literrally (on this database and in real life)
