Serious question about the Australian RC and the WTBTS.
by DATA-DOG ini have not been in a position to watch all of the interviews, so i'm sure that i missed a few things.
here is my question.
were either elders or ministerial servants accused of sexually abusing children, or were the accused just lowly r&f publishers or bible studies?

Should I have made that a topic? -

As a Matter of Conscience, I Am Resigning from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Sail Away inafter listening to the hearings of the australian royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse, i am no longer content to have simply walked away from the organization.
as a matter of conscience, i do not want my name linked with the organization in any way.
i know this letter has been posted previously, and i thank the author.

OH, I hope I read the heading correctly. The victims list is climbing and all sections of the JW male oriented community are mentioned.
Forgot to tell you people about this...........Yesterday morning I was told about a new sort of regulation called...........Bystander guilt.
Yes!!! It means exactly what it says. Those who stood by and did nothing are not about to get off lightly!!

1,700 and climbing since it started. I was called yesterday for some encouragement by a staff member. They are loaded up with people coming forward, the stories are incredibly similar, and amazingly, the age group is between 50 and 65 years of age. All this time has gone by and only now are those who were truly abused, feeling free enough to come forward....The staff of 300 are collecting all the information and will interview those willing to be interviewed. They are also going to ask for "suggestions" from the victims......
I didn't know that bit until yesterday.

Please reach out to Te New Yorker
by Jonathan Drake ini have found an article on their website that moved me to contact them.
i share it here hoping more will contact in a similar vein and maybe we can raise awareness and tear down this propaganda.
i'm writing regarding an article about jehovah's witnesses and their blood transfusion doctrine, found here:http://tinyurl.com/pxku9dgit is clear to me, reading this article, that it's writer is either profoundly ignorant or profoundly biased.

I wonder if those who put the article up are aware of the pharmaceuticals behind these pioneering WT publicity stunts.
We had a two week set of articles in Australia about Farmer and the other chap....can't remember his name.
The problem is that pharmaceutical companies stand to gain a lot of money from alternative substances that have not been thoroughly observed over the decades of learning and understanding, re the transfusion of blood....how it is gained and how best to store filter, and what ever else the medical industry has discovered. These men made a packet out of their stint, they affected policy over here in Australia and all the while they hid their "religious" views during this crusade. I don't like anyone influencing what I can have or not have, based upon what has to be a biased view.

Jehovah’s Witnesses face child sexual-abuse investigation in Australia - Washington Post article
by defender of truth inof the religious and nonreligious groups being investigated, the jehovahs witnesses are exceptional, experts say.. in a converted office in downtown sydney, the organizations doctrines and practices are being parsed by lawyers, victims and journalists, providing rare insight into one of the christian worlds most conservative churches.. .
the church, which was founded in pennsylvania during the 1870s to promote a 1st-century interpretation of the bible, has emerged as the least able or willing to deal with sexual abuse within its ranks, said anne cossins, an associate law professor at the university of new south wales and an expert in sex crimes who is a consultant for the inquiry.. .
i find their approach to the issue and victims extraordinarily bizarre almost medieval, she said in an interview.. .

All the big wigs will care if they start losing case after case. They won't like that one little bit. I was just looking at some cases I knew nothing about, but they are being resurrected in the light of a little glimmer of light that came out of Australia recently. I don't think this will die down.
The GB will have to face up eventually. Or they may feel compelled to sacrifice those thirty odd helpers to Baal.....

A working with children check/card, costs about $ 160 Australian in WA
It will apply to all "adults", not just men, women too. This is only fair, for their are women who have made no attempts to protect their children and need as much scrutiny as any other man.....I obtained one in advance, when attending The college of Education, as an English teacher at the primary school level. Five years ago from my recollection

Yes. Anyone giving a bible study to a child, going out on the work with a child......anything involving a child and an adult (sometimes this includes a parent or grand parent too) Will have to have this card. If not...........trouble. Lawsuits for none compliance etc. I guess many will not be taking their kids out on the work as much as before....Actually, there have been less sightings of children in the West of Australia.

Will Jehovah`s Witnesses join with other religions in Compensation Payouts ?
by smiddy injustice mcclellen asked g.jackson about compensation for victims of child abuse , and mcclellan suggested it be by a consortium of groups , presumably religious and secular in nature as a pool to dispense approppiate compensation to all of the victims involved .. g.jackson hesitated and said they would have to look at the details of that proposal , before committing to it.. jehovah`s witnesses consider themselves as the only true religion and ,all others as false religion .. they take pains to separate themselves from from any association with other religions , not even being included in newspaper notices about church services.they want to keep themselves separate and distinct from false religion as they see them.. so how do you think they will handle this suggestion / requirement ?
will they join in aligning themselves with "babylon the great" in compensation .?.
didn`t they align themselves with another religion in the u.s.a. some years ago , that had to do with the w.t.

And if they refuse to align themselves collectively with other organizations in a pooled funding. Won't that draw a very negative reaction from the public, the RC and the government..?........It may cause the tax exempt status to be looked at re the WTBTS.
It will be very interesting to see what happens on this point. It has been established that they have never had a form of insurance re the various claims that could arise.....Child Abuse being one of them....When asked about that, (and I can't recall who answered it now) The answer was........" ...because we have never had a claim over this issue..."
Stupid answer really, since it had been established that they had never reported any...ever.

Shocking development from Australian Royal Commission
by Esse quam videri init is reported that elder kevin bowditch was so upset at the grilling he received at the arc that he has traveled to austin, texas to prepare for any future encounters with angus stewart.. we see from various stages of the interrogation his increasing anguish.
he is reported as saying in private, '.. that's never going to happen again.
i think i was hung up and left out to dry by the governing body.

Any proof that Bowditch is really doing this, or is it wishful thinking? It would be very interesting to find out more. He was not a good witness and looked spaced out at times, so way out of his depth....I didn't feel sorry for him though, I just can't feel that way for people who should have a normal conscience...
