  i thought paradise was supposed to be a delight?

  not according to the august study wt, on page 20 paragraphs 4-12 it outlines how much paradise will be exactly like being in the org today.

  still following rules, waiting on jehovah and obeying those taking the lead.

  I think I spelled that al wrong there....sorry. Look it up and see how controlling the Catholic religion used to be..The Watchtower is often modelled on these principles.

  What about my Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Tony Joe White, Alan Parsons Project....and all the other collections?

  I don't want to listen to Witness songs for the rest of my life. There's no soul in it. It's all based upon some limited range of notes designed on the template of the Monks and their chanting.

  It was considered very dangerous by the Catholic hierarchy to allow freedom in music incase it raised awareness or too much inspiration. Carmina Burana was one of those banned compositions...way to liberal and outside the 8 notes allowed....

  Three years ago when I nearly got baptised and I was being told about the "spiritual paradise". I was given a taste of what that meant......

  The study conductors seemed to think it was a good thing to constantly receive directions and work your guts out day in and day out"...They stressed that the society was already teaching people to be respectful of Gods arrangement by teaching obedience to those who went to the meetings and did not question the GB and it's sub deputy, side assistants.

  They gave me an example of how the elders in my congregation were testing the obedience of it's loyal members.

  An old man always liked to sit to the left and to the back of the hall. He probably needed to get to the rest rooms for all we knew.

  One Sunday morning at the usual ten o-clock start, he came in and was ordered to go to another spot in the hall.......somewhere in the middle where it was nice and cramped and there were no arm rests on the chairs. He told them to stuff it and sat where he usually did.

  "Now, Juliette, as you can see. This old man did not have the right attitude toward authority and guidance and he would not be the right sort of person to survive into the new system, because of his disobedience. There is going to be a lot of work to do in the New World and if people think they can just do what they want, then they have the wrong attitude." Whaaaaaaaaa!..couldn't make this shit up if I tried.

  This old guy went right up there in my esteem, because he didn't give a damn about what those upstart elders thought of him was too old and wise to be afraid of anything....

  did you know how (in sworn testimony during the recent australian royal commission hearing) governing body member geoffrey jackson responded to the question, do you see yourselves as jehovahs spokespeople on earth?.

  jackson replied, that, i think, would seem to be quite presumptuous to say that we are the only spokesperson that god is using.. really?

  JW Governing Body claims to be the “Faithful Slave”

  

  Did you know how (in sworn testimony during the recent Australian Royal Commission hearing) Governing Body member Geoffrey Jackson responded to the question, “Do you see yourselves as Jehovah’s spokespeople on earth?”

  Jackson replied, “That, I think, would seem to be quite presumptuous to say that we are the ‘only spokesperson’ that God is using.”

  Really? Was he being truthful and honest when he replied that way?

  Did you know in the February 15, 1918 Watchtower magazine it is recorded,

  . . .we believe it a safe rule to follow Brother Russell’s interpretation, for the reason that he is the servant of the church, . . . and therefore we should expect the Lord to teach us through him.

  Then in the October 1, 1994 Watchtower expanded this concept to another level,

  All who want to understand the Bible should appreciate that the ‘greatly diversified wisdom of God’ can become known only through Jehovah’s channel of communication, the ‘faithful and discreet slave.’

  Three years later in the January 1, 1997 Watchtower Jehovah’s Witnesses leaders stated,

  Jehovah has commissioned the . . . slave class to provide spiritual ‘food at the proper time.’

  The November, 15, 2009 Watchtower provided this admonition:

  We need to guard against developing a spirit of independence. By word or action, may we never challenge the channel of communication that Jehovah is using today.

  Did you know that Geoffrey Jackson went on to say, “…going back to Matthew 24, clearly, Jesus said that in the last days – and Jehovah’s Witnesses believe these are the ‘last days’ – there would be a ‘slave’, a group of persons who would have responsibility to care for the spiritual food. So in that respect, we view ourselves as trying to fulfill that role.”?

  

  Jackson may believe he personally is a part of that “slave,” but common sense tells us that believing something is “true” does not necessarily make it so – because no one can create “truth;” no one can change reality. Beliefs should be based on reason, evidence and undeniable content – not rooted in personal viewpoint or unsupportable claims.

  Who, then, is the faithful and discreet slave? In keeping with Jesus’ pattern of feeding many through the hands of a few, that slave is made up of a small group of anointed brothers who are directly involved in preparing and dispensing spiritual food during Christ’s presence. Throughout the last days, the anointed brothers who make up the faithful slave have served together at headquarters. In recent decades, that slave has been closely identified with the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses.Note, however, that the word “slave” in Jesus’ illustration is singular, indicating that this is a composite slave.   then go here as it has been collated into video = transcript commencing 27th august.. you may find this easier to access than going to the royal commission where the transcripts only, are available due to live streaming of the entire event.

Someone did ask if there was a non apostate site available on this forum...I put it to that person that this is about Child Sexual Molestation in Religious organizations including the Jehovah's Witness one. So please stop such limited thinking and pretend your're reading the news for once. As this about crimes toward children.
