Ditto to that response. Gently gently disengage.......
well i know i've been posting a lot of topics like this lately and i'm sorry if i sound whiny or annoying.
my parents were asking me why i was so upset lately and i ended up just telling them the whole truth.
i told them i don't believe in god or the bible because i don't have any evidence of anything.

if donald trump wins the presidency, about 90% of the jws in my area will have to go back to mexico.
the watchtower will be having a fire sale on kingdom halls.
if trump became president and he followed through on his policy of sending back undocumented immigrants, would that affect the jws publisher numbers big time in the united states?
We follow your' politics in Australia. Most people would feel very afraid of Trump and his seeming lack of self control and his outrageous views....just letting you know. We have American bases here and have had them for decades......
Surely this man would not do "good" in terms of his extreme views and his blatant bias.
I hope I have not offended anyone by saying this, but we do watch your' politics quite closely here
the wts has been keeping case files on child sex abuse for over 60 years that we know of.
*damn...my whole post disappeared.... .

Outlaw. Your word pictures are an excellent method of revealing what really does happen. Would you believe that I was actually followed for at least two months....I am telling you the truth when I say this..........For I had refused baptism at this stage. They didn't understand why and then they were suspicious of why I did not want to do this....
It was an awful experience as I felt they the Jehovah's witnesses were the ones with a great deal of paranoia. I was told by my study conductors that there were two WT magazines. One for the public and one for those who were in the ......well ..........the ones who had earned the trust of the elders....I was shocked to think this form of thinking existed...

I can't help but agree with Crow. Knowledge is power. In this case, the knowledge of a crime and the ramifications of having this stored is as good as it gets in terms of holding someone to ransom.
It shows the integrity of the WT to be very suspect.
first off, i don't think that dude is going to show face.
he's most likely on a plane already.
if he shows it's bad pr and if he doesn't show it's bad pr.
Do you really think he can't be recalled? He can be, he will be. He is an Australian citizen and if they find holes in his testimony they will expect an answer from him. There are extradition treatise between Australia and America.
I don't know presume to know what will happen in the end, but the GB will be established as the "spokespersons" for the WTBTS. This is the main authority that controls all the lives of the rank and file members. This leads to further questions that will arise within the RC. Still, I confess that I don't know where it will end.
I do know this. Justice McClellan asked him GF, if he would consider a joint effort at redress for victims of abuse. Jackson said "yes". If they refuse to do so, there will be questions as to "why" they don't actually go ahead and join in with others who are willing. This will be damning for the society. It will show a lack of co-operation on the part of the WT. This could lead to further investigating into the financial workings of the society.....In a strange way, I hope they the GB, will view Australia as small fry and not important. This could be the best outcome. Underestimating the legal powers of another country is a dangerous route....WTs underestimation could fly straight back in their collective faces.....
i went through the original footage to get a good look at the watch.. from these pictures we can probably say that it is a apple watch and that it has a golden color.
the color on the pin is black, and the band is white, grey, silvery or beige.. .
the pin is in the exact place for it to be a apple watch.. only apple watch edition have the gold color.
Oh man, that is awesome. Have you sent that one in to the Royal Commission? They would be fascinated with this sort of accessory and it's price. The WT is a charity is it not? What in the hell are they doing with such expensive suites, watches, first class flights......Ah it makes me sick. Send it in. Charity status in Australia means "helping the community, regardless of religious affiliation".
i'm still working my way through the videos..... this has probably been covered before but had anyone else ever heard them use this phrase before?
not me... but it's a clever and as per usual misleading choice of words.. if they are indeed guardians of doctrine, they are very poor ones.
if so jws would believe the same thing now that they did in 1879 and we all know that's not true.
That was a completely new one for me too. I thought it was very slippery of them. It won't however, distract the Royal Commission from the main issue's. And these are unpleasant ones for the society to face and harder for them to defend. Many people have come forward with supporting evidence regarding the actual "printed" words of the WTBTS and this is useful in uncovering the deceptive and ever changing approach they take in order to attempt to outwit secular authorities.
My own family had not heard of this "guardian" rubbish. It's quite ingenious really, but it won't cut it.
The issues at stake are those of sexual abuse and the lack of action taken to protect children within and without......the WTBTSs religion. The GB can throw as many words and deflections as they want.......".fire away" I say, but you will not fool these people.
If the GB try to distance itself any more than they already have, they are going to look increasingly guilty, deceptive, and worse still.......fully aware of how unravelled their version of events stand up to the light of investigation. It's going to be hard to throw an awake or a nice little Watchtower study edition at the RC and really expect them to swallow this absolutely crap defence...............Fret not people. The Guardians will soon be in deep trouble in a monetary sense. I would like to see what they invent as a means to hang on to the loot then......I thank everyone for keeping an eye on this matter and not allowing it to die out simply because it is not in the "latest news editions". Good on all of you..

I went to a meeting a few months ago and was refused a study magazine. I was with my devoted JW family and still no magazine was allowed. I thought it was very odd, not at all as it used to be. Lot's of people had their tablets and were studying the article via this way...
It used to be, that even if you couldn't get a mag, you would get a photo copy of the WT study.....Not so now.
i have just finished watching this john oliver and thought he was great.
i found a utube of him.. then i remembered bill hicks and his take on religion and advertising.....he was sort of hard core in terms of never holding back in his incredible and disturbing humour, but i really loved him.. anyone ever heard of him?
of course some of you must have....

here's john oliver's take on how easy it is for religions to fleece vulnerable people in the us.
i had a few good laughs, but it's seriously disturbing at the same time.
read the article, but don't miss the video, it's hilarious.. john oliver sets up his new church.
