Has there been any "New Light" on the Blood Issue?

Or, it seems to me, in the rush of an emergency, life-or-death, a blood transfusion would be fine. The soldiers were ravenously hungry and in a rush. A JW, similarly, may rationalize that they were rushed through emergency and didn't have time to pull out their blood card while they lay there bleeding to death. The JW did not show absolute disregard, and in normal circumstances, of course, would have refused.

    Hello TD,

I've been busy in the past few days, attending to business opportunities.

Going back to plasma... did it not also transport body waste? if yes, is it advisable to give the whole of it to a person bleeding to death?

By the way, had you experience blood transfusion or anyone closed to you?

    Thanks,

    hello jgnat,

    hello abaddon,

Did you also, experience the real blood transfusion?

Did you knew the real statistics of people who died from medical treatment?

Anyway, would you believed it took only an 11 year old girl to figure-out what FDA can not ...or did not?

That's what kidneys are for. http://www.nephrologychannel.com/anatomy.shtml

I've given blood four times. Nothing bad happened.

Also, did you lost anyone from doctor's treatments

That's just plain insulting. Doctors treat all patients, no matter how sick they are. How do you know if it was the sickness or the doctor? My sister, a family doctor, says a good part of her job consists of supervising a patient's passing.

Did you knew the real statistics of people who died from medical treatment?

Do you know the mortality rates in areas where there is no access to competent medical care? Up half as many people die if they have no ready access to trained, competent medical care. Tell me what country you are from so I am sure never to visit.

"Availability of primary care doctors and population health in England: is there an association? by Guliverd MC"

"Maternal Mortality: Africa's Burden" by Margaret Greiko

"In addition to contraception, women need access to a broad range of services. The primary means of preventing maternal deaths is to provide rapid access to emergency obstetrical care, including treatment of hemorrhages, infections, hypertension, and obstructed labor. It is also important to ensure that a midwife, or doctor is present at every delivery.

In developing countries only about half of deliveries are attended by professional health staff. Skilled attendants must be supported by the right environment. Life-saving interventions – such as antibiotics, surgery, and transportation to medical centers – are unavailable to many women, especially in rural areas. These women may lack the money for health care and transport, or they may simply lack their husbands’ permission to seek care. "

Also, are you ready to talk about the bible inconsistencies in your beliefs?

And, finally, are you ready to talk about whether it is necessary to obey every word of an organization that claims that it alone speaks for Jehovah in these last days? http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/100099/1.ashx

    Hello Rootcause,

Going back to plasma... did it not also transport body waste? if yes, is it advisable to give the whole of it to a person bleeding to death?

Yes, plasma is a transport medium for two metabolic waste products, salt and urea, the latter by UT proteins in the plasma.

Whether it's advisable to give it to the patient or not depends entirely on what's wrong with the patient. Plasma has not been administered for general blood loss for a very long time. There are much better artificial products on the market today.

However there are many proteins in plasma and not all of these are available individually. Non-specific bleeding disorders (e.g. severe warfarin poisoning) unresponsive to factor specific concentrates are one example where plasma might be administered.

By the way, had you experience blood transfusion or anyone closed to you?

Yes. Most people who are upset with the JW's over this doctrine have seen someone die needlessly. JW children have died from things as mundane as falling off of their skateboard and fracturing a femur.

The nice thing about discussing the medical implications of transfusion is that we can each form or own opinion and we can respect each other's personal decision even if we don't agree with it.

The JW's do not allow this freedom and they do not allow mutual respect where opinions differ. Instead, the JW's destroy families over simple differences of opinion on subjects such as this and they attempt to justify it through logical fallacy and sophomoric use of scripture.

That is what I'm interested in discussing. Can any of this be justified from the Bible?

    hello TD,

It's really an honor discussing with you . . .I just do hope you continue looking on the other side of the coin...I've been in the matrix, before we became a JW. . .We found the truth but somebody have to die from our Family . . .

How does it feels after the blood transfusion? how does it feel to have another soul mixed with your soul?. . .You may and may not answer this anymore. . .

The cure for cancer was in the bible. . .the cure for heart disease was in the bible. . .just make sure you read in between the lines. . .

    sign-off. . . .thanks,

rootcause, I have no time for quackery. You can trust in your medicine, I will trust in mine. A few derogatory articles cannot erase the plain fact that more people die in areas where there is not ready access to competent medical care.

But, what does all of this have to do with bible commands? You have not definitively shown that receiving a blood transfusion is disobeying God's commands for us today. You inconsistently apply scripture.

Jesus gave his life for all. If I give part of my lifeblood, my life, to another, is that not a gift?

And, have you abandoned the "organization" argument?
