The book of Ruth is an outright contradiction of this, the conclusion of the book making the Moabite Ruth an ancestor of David, and Matthew 1:5 is only too glad to mention her among the ancestors of Jesus...

The book of Jubilees (16:7ff) makes the issue even clearer:

But Lot we saved; for God 8 remembered Abraham, and sent him out from the midst of the overthrow. And he and his daughters committed sin upon the earth, such as had not been on the earth since the days of Adam till his 9 time; for the man lay with his daughters. And, behold, it was commanded and engraven concerning all his seed, on the heavenly tablets, to remove them and root them out, and to execute judgment upon them like the judgment of Sodom, and to leave no seed of the man on earth on the day 10 of condemnation.

Interestingly enough Lot's responsibility is retained here, which was not clearly the case in the Genesis account.

How many of you men out there could have sex when you were so drunk you had no idea who you were sleeping with?

I have never experienced this nor could I ever imagine it. That is not to say that I have never been completely wasted because I have been but I could never imagine not knowing who I was with.

I have met a few people who appear honest in thier claims that they were not aware of thier actions under the influence of alcohol. I am inclined to think that is an excuse but I do not discount it entirely. I think some people react differently to alcohol. Another example is violence. I have known some to get very violent under the influence where others become the opposite.

As far as performance under the influence, forget it. While I have noticed that women I wouldn't otherwise be attracted to suddenly become attractive I also find that my ability diminishes with the quantity of consumption to the point of physical impossibility.

Here Jehovah makes a statement against the Moabites and he proves false to his own words and lets Ruth ( a Moabite) into gods household and praises her. Jehovah isn't too consistant is he?

The cases you mention about hearing of people not remembering AFTER the fact. The fact is, they know what they are doing before they forget what they have done. Does that make sense? Lot KNEW what he was doing or he could not have performed. I think Jehovah musta known whether Lot knew or not eh?
