Of course it tells me something. It tells me that everyone here is determined to uphold your side out of sheer apostate loyalty. This IS an apostate board, a board comprised of people that is biased against any thought which might threaten their interests and the decision they've made to abandon what they once embraced as truth but now consider as evil.--Jizzum.

I guess I musta committed the unforgivable sin, as I failed to enclose the word "apostate" in quotation marks there, twice over.

They don't understand that people they call "apostates" don't hold "apostate" beliefs because they decided to become "apostates", but that JWs call them "apostates" because they independently came to conclusions different from Watchtower Cult Central and were not afraid to voice them. They can't comprehend that such folks have usually done much research and soul searching to come to their conclusions. They can't comprehend it because they haven't done it in their own lives yet.

You know what? That makes me an "apostate" too ... because I've independently reached conclusions that are different from the Watchtower's explanations of some things. But you want to know something else? I'm definitely a different sort of "apostate" than you people here are. I'd never consider becoming the same type of "apostate" as what AlanFink is.

Good question SP, after reading political threads around here, and elsewhere, I am always amazed. Maybe I lack the testosterone (I've been accused of worse), but it just seems rather silly to me. Frankly I'd rather open a good merlot and call it all good.
