I have said to you all I have to say Xena... don't be expecting any more words of wisdom for a while. All the ink smudged off my Words of Wisdom book in the last 10 minutes while chatting to you.

Seriously though Xena... You are a beautiful woman, mom, member of this community, chef, singer, dancer, yoga-er, installation technician, candle-maker.... Well you get the point, you are an amazing woman.

Again... all you need, is at the end of the day, to hold your daughter close and tell her you love her.

All seems kind of pointless sometimes, doesn't it?

Well....I'm with Xena. I think many of us can agree that what she said, at least crosses our minds sometimes. Why are we here? By accident? If we are.......then there is really nothing more to life than enjoying it for awhile.......then things go to hell and you get old and have problems.

I understand her feeling's.......but I don't think she is saying more than that......just that life has no purpose behind it and it makes a happy outlook, bleak for some.

I'm learning we have to make life the best we can, while we can.......and to take a different look at it so that I can enjoy it. Attitude is priceless.....and it can be changed.

Xena........we're gonna get along just fine in Dallas, and have lots to talk about. Just focus on May for now........and we can all cry on each others shoulders when we all get there.

No prospects for the future except getting old and dying...

I think that's the ultimate prospect in all of our futures.

    most likely alone.

Of course, you could take out a bunch of folks with you. Me, I wanna go quietly in my sleep like my grandfather did ... not screaming in terror like the rest of the people in his car.

All seems kind of pointless sometimes, doesn't it?

Not to me. Knowing that we're all gonna assume room temperature some day, I think the 'point' is what you do with your life between cradle & grave. Make sure that your curtain climber has some good tales to tell your grandchildren & great-grandchildren about your time together & the things you did in your life.

    I'm so sorry Xena!

You know Texafest will be here soon!

If you're in the Dallas area, come on over. We can share a bottle of wine and laugh at my wife not getting the American jokes!

My dear Xena...yup...life can suck. But remember too that I for one enjoy your comments on this board and so you make a difference in other people's lives! You make life a little less "sucky" for other people. "This too shall pass". Very wise words. Take one day at a time. That's what I have to do. Hang in there!

This is not the Xena I have come to know and love?

You are one of the strongest people here, so don't blow that image I have of you.

You have a tough exterior, but I know you have a large, soft heart! You have said you don't need another person to be complete, and while I'll not argue that point, I know for myself it is a lot more interesting to share life. There is no shame in wanting to share yourself. There is no flaw or weakness in admitting ones needs. There are people out there who will love you if you let them. Take the chance. Maverick

No way, Xena. Life is what you make it and what you surround yourself with.

Life, for however long it lasts, can be a very beautiful thing!
