As a JW, I would've said the same thing. Historians are not doing guesswork. And the Bible itself points to 587 BC.

That is why I did this video series on the subject exploring this from every angle.

"You better watch who you offend. One of us might rat you out to the Dark Lords. Because you aren't supposed to be here."

    They ALL know I am.

"Who's whining like a baby now after getting owned in thread after thread, lol. You don't have to stay if you don't like it. You clearly can't hang."

    On drugs?

"Are you getting points with Jehovah for being on this site?

There is a lot more going on here than debating the bible (which is a bunch of bs anyway).

Like exposing the many crimes of the despicable watchtower. Like helping people who are being shunned by their entire families and friends."

Agree with you about the shunning, at least!

"I took care of that earlier in the day. Now I am just reading your posts for the comedic relief!"

    Glad that SOMETHING makesya happy!

I left because of the lies, ignorance and corruption of the Watchtower Publishing house.

The reason people come here is to tell their stories of the damage the WTS caused to their lives and is to me an

    empathetic act of humanitarianism.

Reflect upon the thousands of people who lost their lives to the WTS or the millions of families what were broken apart and you can see part this real damage.

I wanted to learn the truth or at least something closer to the truth.

The working operations of the WTS is what makes so many leave it.

Its really a poor example of Christianity that presents itself in a pretentious act of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a tainted commercialized way.

The Question- Educate yourself by reading on the Internet. Many of us left the JW organization because it IS a criminal organization and cannot support it any longer. What's YOUR excuse for staying ? You enjoy supporting criminals ? Peace out, Mr. Flipper

There's lots of this information in written form out there about 607 BC. All it takes is a little googling.

    https://ad1914.com/history-of-the-doctrine/

    https://jeffro77.wordpress.com/index/607-for-dummies/

    http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/607-587.php

And this is a synopsis of each of the videos I linked to above: www.jwlove.org/607bc

We've had plenty of debates with JW apologists on this forum about this very subject.

    *sigh*

70 years is symbolic in Hebrew belief, and is usually to be interpreted as 72 years (which is a multiple of 12 and half of 144... Holy writ is loaded with astrology and numerology.)
