Surveys and polls have a fantastic reputation, especially since the last election. President Hillary sure has a lot to thank those polls for ...
Conducting meaningful and surveys is incredibly difficult. Even if you get good questions (they usually aren't) the way you select people to answer then is often fraught with challenges to get unbiased samplings. Phone people up? You're not asking anyone who chooses not to have a phone or is too busy to answer.
I joked with a Microsoft rep once who was convinced that the ribbon-bar was awesome because they had done lots of focus groups. I told him their problem was they only asked people with nothing better to do that day than attend a focus groups and not people busy trying to do actual work that day.
As SBF already pointed out, it unlikely that an internet poll, run on an apostate site, conducted when the internet was demonized by the WTS (and still is beyond their own site) would ever produce anything but self-congratulatory results. To claim it's scientific is frankly laughable.
Cedars especially seems to have a very high opinion of himself and doesn't like anyone questioning his orthodoxy (not even challenging it, just asking for clarification can be enough). Lots of comments from his blog vanish or are blocked from appearing ... and yet he claims to be giving a voice to the "silent majority".
We're not going to let his crap take over this forum again though. Not only does he sanction comments on his own site, he tries to do it here too by threatening to "ruin my reputation" if I allow people to comment about him.
