This forum is my "go to" forum and primary source of help and news, but other sites provide useful stuff too. Just need to be careful out there.

Jim Jones was an extreme example of a cult leader. Thankfully there are few like him. That doesn't mean there aren't people who popup who would like some sort of "following", whether or not they manage to exert that degree of control over them, it usually starts with the desire for adulation.

Cedars and his zealots made a big deal of illegally copying Crisis of Conscience. I wonder if his views on copyright and PDF piracy will change if / when he tries to sell his own book?

I really doubt this. He's already collected thousands of dollars to print the book, in an era when print on demand books can be published with next to nothing up front.

What actually happened a couple of years ago when a large number of posters were "outed?" I remember that Cedars was involved but since I'm still a closet case, I stayed as far away as I could.

A quick PM would satisfy me.

I think he's a good guy with his heart in the right place. JW Survey was highly instrumental in me leaving the JWS. I think the money he will make from the book will be well deserved considering the time he spent writing it and the time he puts into maintaining JW Survey. I wish him the best.

If Loyd is a crook then I think steven hassan is a bigger one, and yet no one complains about him.

Ceders is an ego maniac. He has a Trump complex. He thinks that because some people adore him and many like him because he is on their team that it makes him the man who is going to single handily bring down the org. He has since deleted my comments on an article despite me not breaking any of their written rules.
