I haven't watched it yet but im gonna take a stab in the dark here...

The son who wants to leave is acting all self righteous and hard hearted and the parents are sobbing because HE left THEM? Then HE leaves the family home voluntarily and the PARENTS are the ones to be pitied?

Yeah, coz that's exactly how it happens in real life.

    6. High morals? I know athiests with high morals.

That's ridiculous. All atheists are moral degenerates without the anchor of the almighty to guide their life.

Here an example about the hard stand on shunning, in real life, an Interview in a Dutch newspaper.

The JW father, in real life a man with a very good management job at KLM airways in Amsterdam, tells that his believe is always above the relation with his children. "Jehovah is above everything, even you children", free translated.

See the lovely picture, knowing it means nothing to him when the organizational believe is at stake.

Adding to SMIDDY, FREDDO, and Pale Emperor's comments:

Very conveniently, (for the org's perverted purposes) the awakened teenager voluntarily walks out of the family home.

Ok WTBTS/J.W.'s, now show the other side of the coin - when the teenager doesn't leave the family home. Demonstrate how their family situation involving meals, holidays, etc. is unaffected by remaining at home.

Once you show this paradox, try providing scriptural evidence for this contradiction as proof for the J.W.'s who must shun their child who "moved out" of the family home.

In the J.W. world, God's laws on shunning only apply to a person's zip code/postcode!!!!

For someone professing to revere honesty, it seems Losch is well acquainted with "theocratic war strategy."

I'm glad they're pushing the shunning thing.

Deep in their hearts they know it's completely immoral and actually quite evil.

The more the leaders put the pressure on, the more will question the 'rightness' of it.

It must be absolute torture to try to defend it. Whenever I raise it, they want the conversation ended straight away.

Jaydubyaborg FAQ paints a less than truthful view too.

Do Jehovah's Witnesses Shun Former Members of Their Religion?

"What of a man who is disfellowshipped but whose wife and children are still Jehovah's Witnesses? The religious ties he had with his family change, but blood ties remain. The marriage relationship and normal family affections and dealings continue."

Filthy liars. When those children reach the age of majority the shunning is expected to commence! (If not before)

    ...

And as for "Round the Corner" tra-la-tra-la! Round the bend more like!

these brain dead hard line policies only have one usual effect; it makes more of the R&F wake up, I wonder if they genuinely really want this?

And lets not forget that the leaver is held to ransom for the rest of his life because if he dares to join another religion, celebrate a holiday or vote he's "disassociated by his actions". It's a dirty trap.
