This goes back to the early 1070s, central PA, maybe DuBois. George Dobas, not sure of spelling, was removed and a good chunk of the congregation followed him. He gave the public talk every Sunday (except when a rare traveling speaker was allowed to visit), conducted the WT study, and took over the ministry school and service meeting. I'd moved to PA to pioneer and felt it was creepy that he had such huge parts on circuit assemblies. He always had a gaggle of young people around him. He led much of the singing, too. Really strange and creepy. Someone contacted Brooklyn and a group was sent in. It shook the entire circuit.

What happens to the elders when a Congo is dissolved? Do the elderly ones lose their positions because they are about to age out anyway?

    sir82 - "1) Judicial case - victim is disfellowshipped

    2) Appeal hearing on the judicial case - disfellowshipping is upheld

    3) Reinstatement plea after 6 months - turned down, victim remains disfellowshipped

The clear message: most judicial cases should end in disfellowshipping, don't overturn them on appeal, and don't let them back in too soon..."

    ...If at all.

Like I've been saying, deep down, they don't really want XJWs (no matter how they got that way) to come back.

    It's too risky (for them).
