Let's see, my avatar was popular in the 1980s.

I was mainly into old school (though not so old at the time) hip hop, which was a bit out of the ordinary at the time since I was white and lived in a small town.

I did like the pop and rock from the 1980s but I truly did not get into those genres much until the early to mid 1990s.

    talking Heads indeed!

    Madonna

    Safety Dance (who did that?)

but, sadly, I missed most of the eighties because I was raising kids in the "truth."

Safety Dance was by Men Without Hats (I think).

I grew up in the 80s and thought nothing of it.

Looking back, there was great music, such as Joy Division/New Order, Prince, Human League, Duran Duran and U2.

I think The Elephant Man, A Nightmare On Elm Street, The Empire Strikes Back and The Terminator were great films.

I'll 80s fashion and hairstyles a miss, however.

I was in my 30's that decade. Married 13 yrs in 82 and had my first child. Lost twins in 83 and had another child in 84. Tried to be the best little Jdub mommy so my loving god wouldn't destroy my babies-ugh! did see some fab concerts though. Tom Petty, Blonde, Forigner, Journey, Hall and Oats, Men at Work, Stray Cats, Ktrina and the Waves, Timbuck3 (the Future's so Bright I Gotta wear Shades) Bad Company, Huey Lewis and the News, John (Couger) Mellencamp, Even saw a few country stars, Hank williams JR,(the only lousy performance in the bunch) The Judds,(hubby nicknamed them the jugs) and Reba Macintire (sic) I have thick naturally curly hair so in the 80's it was so big I looked like a Texas pagent queen! Haha! Can't post pics 'cause were still in fade mode but hoping someday.
