    William, you are just seeing the last 1/3 of the penis. Also, they have changed the cover, so someone noticed it besides us. The 2010 printing has a harmless Asian man, his penis is too small to be offensive.

    There are many instances where the images people see are due to pareidolia.

    But for me, this songbook is one case that just can't be chalked up to pareidolia or "bad artwork"...

    I agree that this image is way more convincing than the usual stuff people post about, but I don't quite know what to think. Part of me just wants to say that when the brother painted from a photograph, he captured the arm of that brother as it was photographed, an odd light, different from how a painter would pose it on his own, and it just happens to look weird.

    Londo, your reference to the psychological phenomenon of pareidolia is good.

    But we should keep in mind that there are two potentially different manifestations of this effect.

    1. As pattern seeking machines, our brains sometimes see things that are not there,
    2. Artists sometimes deliberately take advantage of this very human trait to create astounding affects with double meanings (see the images I posted on page 2 of this thread).

    Which one is going on here?

    Only the artist of the original art knows for sure.

    Either way, the GB/FDS/WTBTS Leaders thought it should be removed, so my guess it that THEY SAW IT TOO!

    I have met some of the people who are on the cover, including the young girl. They are good people, so the comments referencing the bro looking at her in a pervy way are not appreciated.... She is only a kid....

    I don't see it. I downloaded both of these images and viewed them side by side and peered at every detail. The bottom picture has been slightly blurred but beyond that they are strictly identical, and I see no form of pornography whatsoever.

    Can anyone highlight the area that's supposed to be it? Thanks!

    Edit: Sorry, I found the issue :P They replaced the dark skinned man. I can honestly say that what I see there is his thumb and wrist. You can even see the articulation of the thumb in the book. If that is a cause for "stumbling"...
