Pornography on the back of the songbook “Sing to Jehovah”

Apo...sorry...but an artist would not have made that shadow that way to begin with - it isn't really correct in the right up side image. If you look at it - the shadow isn't quite right. Light doesn't bounce off the leg above the knee that way and this is a simple line drawing - it is a detail that no artist would miss.

That's the kind of reasoning that people use to prove the 1969 moon landing was a hoax. "It doesn't look right to me, so it's a conspiracy." Sorry, but I have zero respect for this subliminal image nonsense. Anyway, the artist clearly was using the same approach to representing the muscle tone in all men's legs, as we can see the same lines on the lower legs of Jesus and the man to his right, and the same shading technique is also used on the elbow area of the soldier in the foreground.

Ah...apo... I see you have little knowledge of the art making process. Not only that, but I suspect that you are having a hard time surmounting the religious hurdle that your brain has conditioned into it.

Don't feel bad - this is a phenomena that doesn't just affect you. Many people have an aversion to allowing their brain to grasp ideas that their brains have been pre-conditioned to reject. We are NOT talking about a moon landing here - this is image deconstruction. And unfortunately, cultural biases come into play when interpreting what it is that a person's seeing appartatus is exposed to. The brain plays a critical role in image interpretation and critical analysis of religious iconography falls into the realm of potential 'blasphemy'. It takes a lot of work to jump over the hurdle that will allow the religiously conditioned brain to accept something that is profane in the face of all that is understood to be sacred.

If you have zero respect for this 'nonsense', then I would suspect you would be better off spending your time pursuing other things.

Took me a while to figure out what I was looking at, but since EndOfMysteries rotated the image it's pretty hard to ignore

the best and most obvious image I have seen is the Knowledge Book where you fold the page showing a picture of Jehovah in the clouds and it becomes a skull on top of a pyramid

Cofty - I don't know why it's done. Could be any number of reasons. Disgruntled Bethel artists, can I get away with it?, secret messages to others in the know

The Watchtower has set new precedents when it comes to conspiracy theories this year. Who could have imagined the changes this year just five years ago?

*shakes head sadly* Okay, I'm out of here.

I’m highly skeptical when a picture has to be folded. And really, is that a skull? One could look into the clouds and see skulls. In that line of thought, it looks more like a bearded man.

My thoughts at the moment is that there is a little bit more to this than I had previously thought, but some of those who comment positively on this, start to see hidden images everywhere.

The weak examples undermine the case for other examples.

I'm not convinced but I'm curious.

I lean towards the possibility that there is a mischievous artist or two.

Seeing other examples in commercial print advertising has caught my attention.

yes, it is a skull. the image is not clear here, but I was shocked when I saw it in my own copy. you can see the outline of the skull, the eye sockets and nose.
