Law school is obviously not the hardest program to follow. It isn't something that can be replicated on the Internet. A first year student can find the law. It takes quite a while more to practice the law. I sincerely thought to explain concepts might help. What I see is rude and beyond rude comments from posters who don't like the results. Grow up. Within the past week, someone posted that I was wrong. Well, I read his whole Internet reference. He was wrong.

Now I know what my colleagues were telling me. People only value what they pay for. If you think an online page without even an author's name substitutes for more than seven years of education, it is fine with me. Rely upon online services to make a will that can't be disputed, and you deserve the anguish that will ensure. Yes, I am a legal whore. I went to class every day for seven years and when I wasn't in class, I studied in the library. Perhaps I have one hour personal time. I know I know things. More importantly, I know what I don't know.

So Conti will absolutely perservere. The United States of America will ratify a sole exception to the First Amendment: Jehovah's Witnesses.

Ignorant people might deserve their misery. I went to law school to help people. Nevertheless, I expected a wage that rewarded me for my competitiveness, study, and hard work. If you see lawyers as money grubbers, it might be a two-way street. Let us hail ignorance. I notice that upper middle class people realize the value.

I'm not going to post any longer on any topic. A ship could go down and you would not jump off to safety. Besides, we've all heard it now how many times. My time and knowledge is valuable. I am definitely not at war with the WT. Perhaps I was naive. Well, I am not naive any longer. Find a lawyer, or better yet, an internet site. There are some very bright members with great insight in a variety of fields. I don't know why they stay here.

There are good lawyers and there ARE bad lawyers. Would you agree? And the good and the bad are all your colleagues.

It's kind of the same here. Good and bad. Some really smart and some less smart! So what?

I believe I have said goodbye to you at least one time before now.

In any event, I'm never sure (if or)why you take the anonymous comments from people on a discussion board so personally.

BOTR, maybe it's just time to take a break from here. Then, when you return, you will feel full of energy and ready for the next challenging Avatar or subject.

Don't stay away for too long!

BOTR, If you go I will miss you. Sure there are some ignorant people here, they are everywhere. Keeps you balanced to hear what they have to say once in a while. And a knowledgeable response helps to keep the ignorance from running rampant. If only a few hear the voice of reason, you have accomplished something.

My respects to you for your hard work. I hope you can keep a warm heart while you are living your dream. That is part of the reason why I come to this forum; there is a common denominator with these people (most of them) and in a sense they are more like brothers and sisters than the ones at the KH ever were. If you have natural siblings you keep in touch with them in spite of your differences. You are a better person if you can put the little things aside and allow each other some respect. And it adds another level to your life.

Please stick around. Choose your battles carefully if you feel that one is called for.

    your brother,

    Stillin

    Hi BOTR,

I've seen you upset with other posters before, and I've always hoped that would not stop you from contributing.

I'm not into law, I specialised in other things but can see the same as you - Someone who has years of study/training, decades of experience, a real world value, and the comments you offer are ridiculed or tossed away.

For me, I actually get a sick sense of glee from it. I think "ok, let's see how this turns out for you then" and sit back to enjoy the show.

I've upset many people by saying that some are put on this earth for the amusement of others. Seems harsh? Well some are simply past the point of being educatable.

I look out for your posts and even cross-reference them with previous info you've posted. For me it would be a real shame if you stopped posting.

So several days ago some poser on the Internet told you you were wrong and you've just now decided that this is so outrageous that you need to leave? How very odd.

Hey Band, some of us really do appreciate your insights into the legal system. If you do stop posting you will certainly be missed, at least by me. Don't let the idiots stop you from making the great contribution to this site that you are known for.

If you see lawyers as money grubbers, it might be a two-way street.

We all know it's unfair to lump them all together. 99% of all lawyers give all the other good ones a bad name.

Opinions are like azzholes -- everybody has one. Most of them stink.

Those who don't like your opinion, will say it stinks.

Face it, they might be right. They certainly are entitled to their opinion about your opinion.

    >

My time and knowledge is valuable.

I hate to disappoint you, but I suspect no one here has any inclination to pay you to be here. It was your free will. Occasionally we all make bad decisions.

(Submit an invoice to Simon and let us know how that goes.)

    >

Yes, I am a legal whore.

    And a racist.

    >

I'm not going to post any longer on any topic.

Perhaps someone else will bother to go back and see how many times you have quit.

You should have gone into drama, you're so damn good at it.

Thank you for the compliment. I stay here because I can relate to most of these folks and their experiences with the WTS/JWs and they to me. I can empathize with them, and vice-versa. I don't care if they are gay/str8, liberal/conservative, red/yellow/black/green (just like M&Ms).

    >

I have no problem with you or your posts (I usually skip them [as I did LARS], since my time has a value too).

But, if my wife threatened to leave me as many time as you have here, I'd tell her the same thing:

Don't let the door hit ya . . . . . in the ass. And, make sure you latch it on your way out.

Remember, only Simon can excommunicate anyone, but the membership will respectfully honor any letter of DA that is submitted.

To plagiarize another member: Peace be with you.

Sometimes I get burned out from this site. However, I do appreciate the updates and some topics. Some times a time out is what is needed.

I have appreciated your legal insights to some of these, and hope that you come back.
