You should of asked what are they going to shun you for ? What sin have you commited? Nothing is listed in the bible to shun a former member of a christian sect.

EVERYTHING- I know how difficult that was for you to do. I opened up to my older JW parents a couple years ago, and yet I was surprised that they were not putting me down and actually accepted my reasons for why I had differences with the organization. They'll never get out of the JW organization either- but they won't hold it against me that I left. In time perhaps your parents will think like this also - the fact that they will still see or talk to you somewhat is a good sign than if they totally shunned you altogether. So stay patient, in time they may soften their stance. I'm proud of you, that took a lot of courage my friend. We are here for you as a support, O.K. ? Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Flipper I have a slight feeling that they might. Not to mention im still young and they are in their earlly 50's.
