Yeah I like how they say they are god channel and we should all join them if we want to live in gods kingdom, yet were not supposed to then judge them at this same higher standard? Yeah right!

Spot the double standard. Other religions are false prophets but Jehovah's people are not.

    mP:

Given all the prophets in the OT also got many prophecies wrong ( davids kingdom will last forever etc, tyre will be destroyed forever) then yes they are in the same company.

2 Peter 2:1 "However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among YOU. These very ones will quietly bring in destructive sects and will disown even the owner that bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves."

HA HA what have the JW's just done to thier founder, relegated him to less than.

Nah, Jehovah's Witnesses are not false prophets, they've just made a ton of mistakes.

Mistakes! So much so that they need to trash there beloved Watchtower Library on CD-Rom and invent a new 'Online Research Guide' that filters out all their bloopers!

Nah, Jehovah's Witnesses are not false prophets!

they are citing the disciples of Jesus having false expectations as a justification for WT's false, printed, pronounced predictions&dates.

Of course the apostles were bewildred. what with Jesus adding to the confusion by talking about sitting at tables in the kingdom & drinking wine, 12 thrones ruling Israel, the kingdom is at hand, etc.

But WT has taken it a step further, and they realize they have come bridges too far.

The meeting part did not adress the issues, it was a white wash, a P.R. job for the R&F.

They might consider it a compliment to be taken seriously as a bona fide, (but erring) spokesperson for God.

The informed house holder more likely is going to snicker, or laugh and not even open the door.

    Fear them not.

Of the ten minute part two were spent discussing that Jws just had wrong expectations and only very minor changes over the years although nothing specific was mentioned.

Wrong expectations are not false prophecy.

Proclaiming those wrong expectations as the 'Truth' revealed by God's holy spirit at the proper time most certainly crosses the line.
