Seriously, cofty, that post yesterday was amazing.
Stronger Christian presence on JWN?
by Christ Alone 51 Replies latest jw friends
i'm a hard and fast atheist--but i do believe in free speech. i'm quite happy that christians, aliens, muslims, shites or whatever say their bit on here.
i never bother with posts that quote loads of bible passages--no point--its a foreign language to me.
but any post that helps expose this vile cult for what it is gets my undivided attention.
Perhaps it's an indication that more people are awakening from the cult? If that was the case, then a greater representation of Christian posters on this forum is one of the things you would expect to see.
In the spirit of Cofty's post, it's nice that this forum extends a warm greeting to everyone, regardless of their personal views.
It would be interesting to have a exJW muslim on this board. That'd be an interesting change of pace too. I've heard of a few exJWs going the Muslim route. I know we have some New Agers here too, but I don't think I've ever seen a Buddhist post here...
Will a stronger Christian presence result in more blessings from the Father being poured out upon the forum? If not, why?
Fakesmile - it gives jesus freaks a chance to try out their recruiting and fairy tale reasoning skills annonymosly.
This is the type of typical response we are trying to avoid - debate the issue, don't make it personal

I occasionally make one which is pro-Buddhist. (I am agnostic) My lady is a lifelong Buddhist, and I think the religion has much to recommend it.
Yeah, I am personally an agnostic leaning towards atheist, but I am still open to hearing what Christians of different stripes have to say, since the only reading of the Bible that I am familiar with is the JW reading.

Why should that concern you? You don't believe in the Father or His blessings anyway, so it shouldn't matter. I'm just saying that I am enjoying the stronger Christian presence so that the group balances out. We can get a wider range of views than just the large number of non believer posts against just a couple believers. I'm not minimizing the non believer view in any way. I just think it's nice to have a variety of posters that can bring their perspectives to the table. When there are only 3 believers contributing to a thread against 20 non believers, it makes relating your own views and answers to questions a bit more difficult. The 3 can't comment on all the issues brought up by the non believers, so much of the non believer argument goes unanswered.
The same vice versa. If there were 20 believers to 3 non believers, the conversation would also be one sided and unbalanced.
I'm a firm believer but I don't have visions or discuss my personal interaction with my god on here except to acknowledge that I pray. I'm glad the Christian presence is stronger, it felt as if we were outnumbered and ridiculed a great deal. Ex JWs need to feel safe to share how they feel if they still have faith that the WTBS hasn't destroyed.
