    It's got to be Captain Corelli's Mandolin, by Louis de Bernieres.

    It's so funny, so sad, just so real..Like the priest who is in hiding behind the altar, he's busting for a pee but nowhere to go.. so he drinks a bottle of wine so that he can pee into the empty bottle, then, when he's filled that one up, he's needs another pee, so another bottle of wine is drunk, and so on.
