wasn't it lucky that we threw all our old literature out. Perish the thought that I would have apostate literature hanging around the house.

I wonder if this negates all our baptisms been as we signed up to a very different organisation and said yes to teachings and a structure that has now proven to NOT exist ?

...may i point out that this has already been done before? recall what preceeded the Revelation Climax book? what about the Daniel, Isaiah, Family, Greatest man, greatest teacher? how about the Watchtower? Awake? etc., etc....

...afraid the dramatics are unjustified my friend... - Elephant

Elephant, none of these changes concern you at all? None of this bears on an objective truth?

All watchtower literature should be thrown I the trash anyway.

This new watchtower teaching is scandalous.

I think it could. This is being discussed in the comments of this thread.

these are the real questions, are they not?...how can jw's remain loyal despite all these 'staggering' changes?

I'm assuming you are asking sincerely and not just looking for an opportunity to ridicule...so i will answer..

...contrary ( and i do mean CONTRARY) to the opinions and interpretations of folks around here, we don't worship the GB. Our religion is not GB Witnesses, it's Jehovah's Witnesses...so we therefore worship...(get this)...Jehovah God...

...in fact, the GB is hardly ever thought of...it is but an element amongst many in our form of worship...I would wager that the majority of JW's don't even know the full names of each member of the GB...

...our prayers, thoughts, ideas, concerns, worries, joys..etc., etc... are not directed at the GB...they are directed to Jehovah God...

...now...if our faith in Jehovah were to be somehow perturbed...then you might have a legitimate problem...hope this helps...

Elephant, doesn't it alarm you in just the tiniest way that jehovah is playing Chinese Whispers with the Governing Body/FDS? Charles Darwin himself would be mightily impressed with the way the Watchtower's doctrine has evolved over the past 100 years. If Jehovah INTENTIONALLY wanted to make 'his' organization look a bunch of clueless chumps, then I believe he would proceed in exactly the way the Watchtower Corporation has done up 'til now. Are the GB faithful and Deceit Slave getting crossed-lines from up there in the Pleiades? Does Jesus, our mediator have a s-s-stammer? A lisp? are the communications being hacked by Satan the Devil?

The Watchtower's record so far regarding doctrine consistency is piss-poor.

Personally, I think jehovah is having a Larf.... at your expense.

By the way, what's the procedure now? Is it just a matter of cut-and-paste from Kingdumb Ministrys?

Nothing has changed. The Live Forever book, Revelation ClimaXXX (spiritual pornography), Truth, Proclaimers and most other books contain Old Light TM and you really must get the recent publications to keep up with that onward rolling Chariot.

My estimate of the shelf life of a Watchtower issue would be 18 months, tops. The books start getting stale after 5 years, and at 10 years are so rancid that you would do well to recylce the paper.
