They tell my cousin to please leave the room. His girlfriend says to the Elders,"Why should he leave the room? That's his grandfather." They tell her that this is a ''spiritual matter'' and that he has to leave the room. My cousin walks out and proceeds to tell me what just happened.

Disgusting, but not at all surprising. I remember when my brother died, the asshole PO phoned my parents the night we buried him to say that my other brother (who had never been baptised, but DA'd) "shouldn't be talking to anyone at the funeral". Just unbelievable how emotionless these idiots can be.

Tell your disfellowshipped cousin that a letter to the local newspaper where those elders live might be a good idea. Let's see those turd-coloured dogs try going out in Serve-Us after that.

    Losers.

No compassion or whatsoever... some self righteous hipocrites! The world is full of them. A rotten tree can be seen by the rotten fruits it bears..

I am so appaled i just dont know what to say.

I do know that hearing is one of the last faculties to go when you are dying as it is'plugged' directly to the brain. The poor man dying would have heard that so his last moments would have been in distress so those arrogant follow the rules elders could justify the party line.

Did Jesus say to those around him who were 'non-believers' (and he would have known who with his abilitys) "leave the room leave the area I am going to resurrect Lazarus". No He said nothing of the sort. He resurrected his beloved Lazarus and glorified God in doing so. Im sure Lazarus family might have been grateful too.

Were there anyone else in the room besides the 3 elders and your uncle?

Does, did your uncle have money, other assets?

Do you think that there is a chance that there is s "new will" now, that did not exist previously?

    food for thought,..

It would be tempting to tell him to get lost. But then again maybe sometimes Witnesses like to provoke (especially disfellowshipped) people into reacting so that the other person looks bad. In such situations it's not clear what is the best way to handle it. What is clear is that the Watchtower religion produces and inordinate number of self-righteous prats.

No BS... I would've gotten the local news involved. But first, I would've told them "I'm not going ANYWHERE!" I'd probably threaten to call security.

I have lots of "worldy" relative and I KNOW one or two of them would've cursed them out. The Nerve! They visit people in the Hospital to make sure they're not taking blood transfusions. Acting as if salvation rests in THEM! they go as ELDERS, not as FRIENDS.

My uncle left no will. He didn't believe in wills. The WTS promised him that the ''new order'' was always around the corner. He passed away after serving Jehovah the Watchtower Society close to 50 years.

Inside the hospital room was his wife(my aunt),three daughters,my disfellowshipped cousin with his girfriend, and the three self-righteous Elders. They told him to please leave the room. My cousin and his girlfriend left the room and waited in the lounge area.

I told him to call security and explain what just happened and see if they could have the Elders leave the room. That was not a Kingdom Hall where the Elders rule. That is a public place and they have no authority over anyone.

He needs to stand up to the Elders in case the same situation arises when his grandmother and aunts are in the hospital. I told him to prepare himself next time and call security on the the Elders and have them escorted out of the room.

My cousin told me that next time he will drag each one by the throat and pound on them. I hope it never comes down to that!

RULES & REGULATIONS- Your cousin sounds like my kind of guy. You PM me where you live and I'd gladly join him in escorting any elders out of the room in future situations if more of your JW relatives are in the hospital . I am your brother in arms . Seriously
