Happy birthday Terry, I can relate. I turned sixty last year. My moment of realization came when the family financial advisor told me that losing myh job might have signaled early retirement. I didn't feel ready to retire, but instead of getting depressed over the fact that I could not find a regular job, I've kept myself busy with all sorts of small projects and some personal ambitions.

I too refuse to give into the look young crowd. My beard is grey and I'm bald. I will never consider botox.

    Happy Birthday, Terry,

I'm 65 and will not dye my hair, botox my lines or lie about my age, chase after young women or avoid my reversal of fortune to come.

Yes, don't give in to vanity, but don't put exercise in that box. The human body and especially the male body for some reason deteriorates rapidly without exercise.

Why do young ladys wink at old men?

It's like they are saying "bet you wish you were young enough to have a chance"

    Dear Terry,

Great thoughts on turning 65. It happened for me last September.
