Indeed... when i read COC it helped me to understand that the men who run this organisation actualy hardly knew the bible. Franz and his uncle where the only ones who realy had any idea of what was contained in the bible. I find Ray's study of the bible to be actualy quite inspiring. When he had his JC he realy refuted the elders taking it, who actualy had very little understanding of the bible whatsoever. I want to be like that, not for argumentative purposes, but so that i can have a greater grasp of what truth is, and so i can help others who are captives to such a destructive notion, that they dont need to be a part of it any longer.

Its funny because I never had issues with the term "Jehovah" before, even after I found that it was incorrect.

I think that stygma that the JW's have placed on it has made it a bit, well...unwelcome.

Which is truly too bad because there is really nothing wrong with it per say, it is a word like any other.

It's that simple. I'm sick up to here (guestures to above head), of hearing the dubs trot out their brand name

for their imaginary sky friend who is so loving they're petrified he'll murder them SOON!!!!!

Hey, don't be to hard on the name, I mean, you were a bible student right?

How was it that in all your studing you never came across this:

ACTS 4:12

"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved."

Of course the JW's are NOT alone in their use of the term, other use it I have a interlinear that uses Jehovah in the OT and their reasoning is the same as the JW's: it is a popular term that everyone is familiar with, even though they TOO agree that "Yahweh" is more correct.
