I've come to the conclusion it isn't the name 'Jehovah' that bothers me .......... it's how it's used!

Funny thing Unkie, I was born in, and in for 58 years, the over-use of the name, especially in prayers, it sounded so insincere and unreal, used to bug me when I was in, but after just a couple of months of being out, I felt as you do, hated to hear it.
I very rarely use it now, it is too closely associated with the cult. P Sac says it is a popular name,I would disagree, it is familiar to English speaking people,but they don't actually like it, and few of them like the JW's.

Wobble - Exactly! I NEVER called my Dad by his first name as that would have been utter disrespect. Then why over use the 'brand' name?
