A roaring current of change..... What is going on at the world headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses? In the last couple of years unprecedented changes in policy, procedure, and doctrine have been coming forth in rapid fire sequence. This uninterrupted episode of new information is beginning to backfire for the rank and file Witnesses. Too much, to quick! Bethelites being sent home, branch printing departments closing down, Kingdom Halls "compressing", Watchtower selling off real estate, Circuit Overseers being deleted, Tuesday night book study gone,Memorial partakers increasing, change in who the generation is, the 1930's not the cut off date for being anointed and their endless supply of changes is going on as we speak. Could this be the reason why so many elders are stepping down? More and more active Witnesses are now posting on the internet and joining us on the conference call. Also on the call will be Martin from London England and Susan G. from Ohio with their stories to tell. It is thrilling and encouraging to see that the dynamics have now changed in the world of the Watchtower org. We will be discussing these issues with all of those who have been "touched by the tentacles of the Watchtower" this Saturday Feb. 26 ,2011 at 7 p.m.EST on the six screens of the Watchtower conference call. You are invited to join us. It's easy to come on the call, no computer is necessary. Just dial (712)432-8710 and use pin number 9925. There is no charge for the call, just your normal calling rates apply. The lines open at 6:30 p.m.EST and our program starts at 7 p.m.EST. So come in early and meet new friends who have similiar stories to tell.

There was a roaring change between 1914 and 1918 when Armaggeddon did not come in 1914.

There was a necessary adjustment change when the end did not come in 1925 or 1975 or when the superior authorities changed back to the secular governments in 1962 or in 1970 the WTS decided that the great tribulation did not start in 1914 and have a temporary break in 1918 to protect the anointed. And yet in 2011, the WTS is still here, 7 million members.

The WTS just re-invents itself and waits for older members to die off, so very few are left that remember the "good old days."

Can you pack too much sensationalism into a single post on JWN? They are about constant change but many were used to the mid-80's to mid-90's where virtually no change took place.

I guess the topic is interesting and could be entertaining over a few hours on the conference call, but it's too much for a single post.

OTWO - No, it's OK. Rick can advertise his phone program. It's always fun to listen to - at least part of it.

    On condition though -

NO JOHNNIE THE BETHELITE! Please, Rick, give us a break...

The 2nd "overlapping generation" of brethren is already forgetting the significance of 1914, 1918, 1935, etc. or are simply dismissing these as "no longer relevant" since they have been thoroughly convinced (through progressive thought contriol) that the GB is continuously receiving "new light" from God.... So whatever the latest "progressive refinement" might happen to be (however absurd or contradicting) is what's considered relevant to them. After all, they ARE in "The Truth".

But this money-making cult is just making a temporary and necessary "pit stop" before it gets moving again...

While occasionally sources for interesting tidbits, Rick and e-Watchman seem to each have their own messiah complexes. I think they're just jealous the GB gets 7M followers and they only get a few, in comparison. At least e-Watchman has a solid, stated doctrine, whereas Rick will take any support from anyone who hates JWs for any reason - real or imagined. He has some very strange bedfellows who are just as bizarre and incredible as anything the GB has ever said or done. I'm not defending the WTBTS, but blind rage is still blindness.

Perhaps all the changes are occurring because of all the BS they've been preaching is obviously

appearing to be created BS to sell their products which is literature etc.

The inter-net is helping this along, not just outwardly to the public but internally within the body of its members.

When you take in the entire workings of this organization and what it has done in its structured corrupt exploitation

of people, its not surprising they don't run and hide away somewhere or completely evolve into another organization

    with a different name attached.

I know, it's not REALLY ground breaking news to us, but it does have a major affect on people. There's been too much change, too fast and it's totally backfiring. I know all the changes woke me up, and I'm not alone.

    There's nothing invalid there.

You cant deny there have been some interesting changes happening within the organization the last few years.

    You go Rick
