Continuing along the lines of my last post, concerning Glenn Beck and his non predictions, I am going to make a prediction about the Middle East in general but more importantly about the world in specific. You will see, in the decade to follow, that someone with the type of knowledge that is repudiated by Glenn Beckian clowns can do a better job of crystal ball gazing.

This will be a bit off topic, but it will show how know-nothings like Beck, conservatives in particular, and the rest of ignorant Americans, are incapable of predicting anything in spite of the knowledge being easily available.

First, I will list the countries where crop failures occured and continue to occur in order to show the magnitude of the situation. Then I will indicate the reason they are happening and why they will continue to happen. The rest will be easy to figure out.

    1. Summer of 2010. Russia and the Ukraine, major wheat exporters, suffer substantial damage to their wheat crop due to drought and extreme heat.
    2. Followed by Pakistan whose flooding was so severe that many farmers were not able to identify their property because the flood waters had reshaped the contours of the land.
    3. Australia, another major wheat exporter. Extensive damage to its crop due to unprecedented and severe flooding which inundated an area the size of Texas.
    4. Canada, also a wheat exporter. Wheat crop damaged due to intense rains.
    5. Argentina. Major damage to soybean and corn crops due to drought.
    6. China as of February 2011. Neither an exporter nor importer but self sufficient. Severe winter drought in progress threatening to destroy their winter wheat crop in its entirety. The Chinese are so desperate that they are seeding their skies with silver iodide in an effort to make it rain or snow. They are dispersing the silver iodide by means of airplane, artillery shells, and truck mounted rockets! The result was about 10% of the effected area getting just enough moisture to hold off the death of the crops for the time being. China will have to import huge amounts of wheat which will further increase food prices. This has not happened yet, so it remains to be seen how it will further exacerbate the problems in the MIddle East.
    7. Mexico. A combination of drought and a severe freakish freeze devasted their corn crops. They have been forced to import 50% more corn than usual from the United States. Mexico is another impoverished country where the price of food is extremely high compared to the meager salaries of the poor. There have already been food riots in the past in Mexico. Furthermore, it has reached peak oil over a decade ago and its production has been rapidly falling. It is no longer a major (3rd place) exporter to the United States. It will reach the point where it has to stop exporting altogether in order in order to maintain its own consumption.

Now that the gravity of the situation has been explained let me explain why it's happening and then why it's going to continue happening by showing you the images below:

An intelligent 12 year old can understand this. Look at the pretty colors. The redder the color the hotter than average is the temperature. The bluer the colors, the cooler than average they are.

Average in these images, is based on an averaging of temperatures between 1951-1980 (Upper right corner.). The temperature range can be determined by the color bar below the image. It's that easy.

Please look at the Russian/Ukrainian region. So much for drought and intense heat that devasted crops.

Now to explain the intense rains. It was predicted, in the 1990s, that Global Warming would increase the humidity in the atmosphere by warming the oceans thus causing them to evaporate more. This not only increases rainfall and snowfall but the extra heat fuels the intensity of the storms. This explains the flooding and intense rains that have also devasted crops.

    Capiche?

Now please look at the images of December and January below. You will see much colder than averagetemperatures in the Eastern and Mid Western United States; Europe; Russia; and most of Siberia. It was based on this that idiots, who believe that their backyards are the center of the universe, were ridiculing Global Warming. As the two digit number at the top right shows, the average GLOBAL temperature was .40 degrees Celsius ABOVE average (.72 degrees Fahrenheit).

Now look at the Arctic region above along with Greenland; East and most of northern Canada; and a chunk of east Siberia. It was mostly 11.1C(20F)ABOVE average. The short explanation for the colder than usual weather below the much hotter than average weather south of the Arctic is as follows.

Warm air rises. It pushes the colder polar air above it out of its way and in the only direction it can go-south. Therefore, there was no cooling off of the Earth; merely a flip flop of heat and cold between the Arctic and the area immediately south of it.

This is the result of GLOBAL WARMING and it's not going away. That is underscored by the fact that the very reason the Arctic got that warm in the first place is because the ice cap has been steadily shrinking and thinning for 30 years. This is the long but not so complicated answer:

    1. White ice reflects 80-90% of sunlight. Dark blue ocean water absorbs 80% of sunlight causing it to warm up a lot.
    2. The ice has been shrinking due to Global Warming and it's gotten to the point where the greater amount of exposed oceans are absorbing more sunlight, during the summer. It can get 5-6F warmer than usual.
    3. Then, when winter comes, that warmer than usual water fails to freeze releasing its warmth which then rises upwards.
    4. Therefore pushing the colder polar air above it southwards.
    5. Furthermore, this much greater than usual Arctic warmth accelerates the meltdown of the ice cap by keeping it from rebuilding its ice thickness and are as it used to do before the warming.
    6. As this ice cap continues to shrink it will expose more and more ocean which, at 5-6F above normal, will intensify storms even more than our present situation. Our present situation comes from other oceans being just 1F warmer. Arctic storm fronts spiral down to those areas where we live.
    7. Estimated time for the Arctic to be completely ice free in the summer (For a few days at first then weeks and eventually months in subsequent years) by the year 2020-2030. This was predicted by Climatologists and Arctic specialists a few years ago. Those figures are underestimates. My prediction is that it will happen by 2020, possibly 2018.

Conclusion. These severe weather phenomenom, the result of Global Warming's effects throughout the world and the Arctic will continue and intensify in the years and decades ahead.

Now back to the original topic of Gwenn Dreck getting things "right". What has that sh*t for brains said about the food crisis being the spark that caused the Middle East unrest; let alone the cause of those spiraling food prices?

    Absolutely nothing.

Mark my words, you know-it-all imbeciles of JWN and the rest of your kind, you have neither the humility nor basic knowledge to see that you're walking off a cliff.

    Have fun.

something is changing on a global scale.
    Telling it like it is.
It looks like Beck is spot on with his analysis.

I fail to see any "analysis" that a fairly bright twelve-year-old couldn't make on an average news day.

Why do Beck's fans always act like giggly schoolgirls when their boy manages to follow a shiny object for 5 seconds?

Sam Whiskied: "...I liked his show (as do millions of others)"

Never one to do research, heh? I guess I have to spoon feed you. Open wide:

    http://www.businessinsider.com/for-the-first-time-ever-glenn-beck-drops-to-fifth-place-at-fox-news-2011-2

"Year over year he posted the biggest loss of any cable news show averaging 1.8 million viewers, down 39% from January 2010. In 25-54 demo he dropped 48%, to 397,000."

    Villabolo,

I was referring to another poster, Mr. Freeze, "Beck doesn't actually believe anything he says. He's a comedian. He's admitted as much himself. He's like an unfunny Colbert who people actually take seriously. I suggest ignoring him. He's nothing but a clown."

However, I believe that Beck is right on the mark with his commentary. To me, it doesn't matter whether he's got 50 mil. viewers or 50. What is interesting, is that I think he's right on with his thought processes.

As for your analysis on the "Global Warming", it has NOTHING to do with Beck. Nice Red Herring though, isn't that what the left is really good at? And, I must say, thanks for all the valuable information on crop production. I made a lot of money when the stock market took a hit in 2008. I'll begin doing some deeper research into the commodities markets on Corn, Wheat and Soy. If it's as bad you say it is, I should be able to make a killing in those markets as well.

    Thanks again!
