This quote seem questionable:
"Hence, the steward class is “faithful,” never betraying or abandoning Jehovah, Jesus, Bible truths, or God’s people."
so what does it mean to betray a bible truth if not say the bible says something it does not say?
Questionable? This is an outright LIE. A well-documented LIE. But the only reason this gains legitimacy to its intended audience is because of the circular reasoning. After all, if you're the one who DECIDES what BIBLE TRUTHS are, it's therefore impossible to abandon them! It would be abandoning your own authority. We're never wrong, because we decide what's right and what's wrong. We always win the game because we can change the rules to make sure we win.
Jesus has been abandoned. His only place in this discussion is to appoint THEM, and the thrust of the discussion is how to obey THEM. If Jesus is the Leader, then how come it's not "Jesus' organization"? He's the Head, right? Hmm. Never thought about that until now.
So did anyone notice the statement on page 11, paragraph 11? Is this new? "If a brother has been baptized at least one year and to a reasonable degree meets the Scriptural qualifications fo rministerial servants outlined at 1 Timothy 3:8-13, he can be recommended for appointment." I thought Paul specifically warned against appointing a "newly converted man"? What's up with that? I want to start a separate thread on that issue.
