    This quote seem questionable:
"Hence, the steward class is “faithful,” never betraying or abandoning Jehovah, Jesus, Bible truths, or God’s people."
so what does it mean to betray a bible truth if not say the bible says something it does not say?

Questionable? This is an outright LIE. A well-documented LIE. But the only reason this gains legitimacy to its intended audience is because of the circular reasoning. After all, if you're the one who DECIDES what BIBLE TRUTHS are, it's therefore impossible to abandon them! It would be abandoning your own authority. We're never wrong, because we decide what's right and what's wrong. We always win the game because we can change the rules to make sure we win.

Jesus has been abandoned. His only place in this discussion is to appoint THEM, and the thrust of the discussion is how to obey THEM. If Jesus is the Leader, then how come it's not "Jesus' organization"? He's the Head, right? Hmm. Never thought about that until now.

So did anyone notice the statement on page 11, paragraph 11? Is this new? "If a brother has been baptized at least one year and to a reasonable degree meets the Scriptural qualifications fo rministerial servants outlined at 1 Timothy 3:8-13, he can be recommended for appointment." I thought Paul specifically warned against appointing a "newly converted man"? What's up with that? I want to start a separate thread on that issue.

"wholesome" is also making a comeback (if it ever was out of favor).

Synonyms of cooperate: Work together , Abet , Concur, Aid , Assist , Contribute
Antonyms of cooperate: Conflict, Opposed, Rival, Thwarting, Fight, Hamper, Hinder, Obstruct, Prevent

So, why did the Writing Department write the word cooperate? Is there some trouble with JDubs doing the opposite of cooperating with the HLC? Or, is just more of the run of hte mill, "We speak for God" cult indoctrination and take over of lives?

This is further proof of GB 2.0 ratcheting up the control in the build up to 2014.

    WT FAIL

For the sake of debate, let's say the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt and wandering for 40 years is true... I know, I know... but let's just pretend, shall we...

At least Moses and the Israelites had a physical, supernatural sign from their Hebrew God...a pillar of fire. It was there, they saw it...they saw it move..they saw it protect them.

What physical, supernatural sign do JWs have that prove they are being led by God via Jesus? The GB representing the F&DS? Nope... not supernatural. All we have is their word that they're representing.

    Now, here's what's ironic...

Even with the supernatural events that the Israelites saw... the parting of the sea, the pillar of fire, manna from heaven, desert water faucets...they still grumbled, whined, bitched and eventually were denied entry to the promised land. After all that evidence they still refused to accept divine authority as represented by Moses. Maybe they didn't get to see the promisel land, but by golly, no one got anything by them. If they doubted the physical signs they were given from God, you can bet that no man, or men, ever got the better of them with false pretenses or promises.

JWs, OTOH, without supernatural evidence or direction, give their dedication and allegiance to a group of men who tell them that they are a modern day Moses. The dubs don't question, don't doubt...they just follow orders...with nary a shred of evidence that God is operating through these men.

JWs would do well to copy the Israelites of Moses time and do more grumbling, whining and bitching. Maybe if they were as cynical as the Israelites were, they'd see through this imaginary pillar of fire and see the fake wizard behind the curtain (I love mixing metaphors)

Its funny that you mention that.

It seems that witnessing God's power leads one to expect more from God or at least hold Man t a higher standard, as opposed to the JW'who for them, being "the chosen people in the truth" is enough for them to excuse pretty much everthing their leaders do.
