Sometimes, Dan, when something doesn't make sense, it's not because you are stupid, or just a mere human, or not guided by the correct spacecreature .... it's because it is nonsense.

The Bible didn't make sense to me until I realised that it was just a collection of writings of men's thoughts about gods.

It's easy to just throw away a scripture when it doesn't fit, right?

That is part of the strategy. Distraction. A Dub will nearly always quote a scripture that he feels contradicts your scripture. Hopefully, you will be sucked in to discussing his scripture and forget that he hasn't demonstrated that he hasn't got a problem with yours. The truth is, that if the scriptures of any religious book can't be made to fit each other, (or reality for that matter), that the thoughts cannot be from some all knowing space creature, regardless of what that Church's heirarchy want you to believe.

LWT - Jude 3 speaks about going beyond what was once for all time delivered to the saints. Paul also warns against listening to anything other than what the apostles preached.

Maybe it was because if anyone saw Jesus they could turn him in and they would try to kill him again. Which would be evidence that he was resurrected as a man (mortal).

So, briefly, what is the best explanation of a modern day Personal Revelation, in your opinon?

Emotionalism? Lies? Tools of Charismatic Leaders?

Scripture is a closed system of truth, complete, sufficient, and not to be added to (Rev 22:18,19) It contains all the spiritual truth God intended to reveal.

‘As for you, beloved ones, call to mind the sayings that have been previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, how they used to say to you: "In the last time there will be ridiculers, proceeding according to their own desires for ungodly things."’ (Jude17, 18)

Awesome. Since people have been pointing out out the ridiculousness of Christianity for thousands of years, the last times ain't anytime soon.

    Dan,

I've been asking JWs the "Did Jesus use fake wounds to convince Thomas?" question for a number of years.

Usually, they just ignore the question because it doesn't fit the WT dogma and therefore does not compute.
