Can we understand the Bible without the Watchtower?

The opposite is true Shelby. EVERYONE knows right from wrong if they dig deep enough. That is the spirit (intuition) of God within you (Eccl. 12:7). We're not gonna find him up in the sky anywhere. The battle for the Promised Land takes place right inside of us. When the Bible says not to lean upon our own understanding, it's trying to tell us that we have to look deep within ourselves for the wisdom of God, and not to react to things based on how we've been programmed. If those enemies of Israel that we need to slaughter mercilessly are our egos, internal demons, then the Bible makes perfect sense and it is truly contains divine wisdom, however tricky on the surface.

The fact that people read this stuff literally, however, is the reason why Zionists (who funded people like Chuckie Russell and things like the League of Nations) have been controlling the world for a long long time, and they've managed to amass most of the world's wealth. Tell me how they could have done it without the Old Testament War God behind them.

psacramento: whats your criteria to decide which parts of the bible got it right?

That, is a whole other thread !
    LMAO !!

But to keep it simple: I START from the starting point that Christ was the WORD of God so what Christ says, "superceedes" what was written in the OT.

I base the other stuff on literal Contract Law, dear tec (the greatest of love and peace to you!), including the contract laws in the Bible. One of the reasons I went to law school was so that I could "understand" the world I live in... because "the law" runs the world I live in. Certainly does in this country. And, boy, were MY eyes opened! Most folks don't even know where today's laws (in the Anglo-American) come from. Yep, the Bible.

The opposite is true Shelby. EVERYONE knows right from wrong if they dig deep enough.

Ooooh, I'd have to disagree with you, there, dear PS (again, peace to you!)... and I am SURE there are some psychiatrist, psychologists, therapists, and pathologists who would disagree, as well.

That is the spirit (intuition) of God within you (Eccl. 12:7).

Assuming God is IN you, dear one... which apparently isn't true for all mankind...

We're not gonna find him up in the sky anywhere.

    I absolutely agree.

The battle for the Promised Land takes place right inside of us.

    If you believe that...

When the Bible says not to lean upon our own understanding, it's trying to tell us that we have to look deep within ourselves for the wisdom of God,

Ummmm... isn't that leaning upon our own understanding??

and not to react to things based on how we've been programmed.

And what if you've been programmed... "right"?

If those enemies of Israel that we need to slaughter mercilessly are our egos, internal demons, then the Bible makes perfect sense and it is truly contains divine wisdom, however tricky on the surface.

That really was not true then... and is only partly true, today. Even today, we have a wrestling NOT with man but with wicked spirit forces. But I get that you might not "see" that, truly.

The fact that people read this stuff literally, however, is the reason why Zionists (who funded people like Chuckie Russell and things like the League of Nations) have been controlling the world for a long long time, and they've managed to amass most of the world's wealth.

Oh, uh... ummmm... I don't think I want to go there with you, sorry. Not that I disagree with all that you state, but that it's just not within the scope of this thread. But I understand what you mean... and why. Fortunately, for some... like me... the "stuff" is irrelevant. I only explained it (for those who wish to know). But knowing it won't add or take away from my lifespan, so it's moot, for me. Others, though, jump to all sorts of erroneous conclusions based on what they read in a few lines/pages. I only offered it in case they... and/or you... want to know the truth. If you don't... or don't believe it to be the truth... cool. No skin off my nose, dear one, truly. I just put it out there.

Tell me how they could have done it without the Old Testament War God behind them.

They COULDN'T have!!! Which is why, if someone wants to know the TRUTH about these things... they should go directly to the SOURCE. Which is what I did. And I simply shared what I received from him... whether you hear... or refrain.

    I bid you both peace!

I don't think you CAN understand the Bible WITH the the help of the WT!

For me the Watchtower has been the greatest impediment to getting ANYTHING meaningful (namely Christ) out of the Bible.

Although I have to admit, at this juncture, the WT's current "theology" is so laughable that the pyramidology/Gospel-in-the-stars stuff of Russell and his contemporaries seems EMINENTLY convincing and rational by comparison.

Unfortunatley not everyone does, some people do have that mental problem but the vast majority do know and we know they know everytime on of them says, " Hey, not fair", ;)

    Yes, we can. Simple version.

Longer version, I've learned more in the last year by reading the bible and ONLY the bible about Jesus and his teachings than I've ever have using the WT publications. I've done a lot of spiritual soul searching and have found that by meditating I have found that inner spiritual self and it has been leading me through some great experiences!

EDIT: Just wanted to throw out the phrase Confirmation Bias. It's just another tool of self-justification and a part of cognitive dissonance.

I agree, the WT takes away Jesus love. My two cents in regards to the horrible acts in the OT.

Who cause the flood that wipe out 99.9% of mankind, for what, it didn,t work we still have

evil. The ISRAELITES WAS TOLD BY God to wipe out those UnGodly people, it didn,t work

we still have people who worship Satan today. Bro Dan what if all the nations of the world

declared genocide on Germany after WW2, What would that accomplish. From day one,

God or someone that profess to speak in Gods name have not accomlish much. The

world is still the same since Adam. When our human consciousness begain to (lets say)

grow, mankind realize we can not go around cutting off people hands because they

stole some food or remove someone eyes because they sin with thier eyes. That

method do not work. Oh, one more thought some of our founding Fathers of this

Country did not believe in the Bible.

Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianty

have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned; Yet we have not advance an inch

towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half

the world fools, and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all
