I voted for Obama. I am disappointed that he and some democratic senators caved in and handed us a crap health care reform bill. I was ready for him to stomp some republican @$$. We needed REAL health care reform. I didn't say I want socialized medicene, but we need serious reform.
I am ready for the democratic senators, who were more worried more about their senate seats (asses) and possibly getting rewards for refusing to pass real reform, to get voted out. I don't want them replaced by republicans though. God help us all if they take over. Look at the pitiful shape this country was in when Bush left office. And I do not want to see anyone bankrupted with medical bills. That or worse, dying because they cannot afford medical care.
I am not a republican. I think the party ran this country into what is close to the great depression. I loathe the way they have simple minded, fundy christians mesmerized into a dangerous, trusting trance. Today's brand of republicans are disgusting, most of them. They have polarized this country, divided it, torn it apart. United we stand, divided we fall. I include the senators who fought health care reform, the democrats, right in with them. They are helping our country become a place of mostly poor and a handful of wealthy.
