I used to, very rarely but after watching a episode on Oprah where people lost loved ones because of texting and driving I stopped doing at all. I also have a teenager about to get his permit and decided to teach by example.
Have You Ever Texted While Driving?

They're always speeding by in traffic and I've seen a lot of crazy in your face motorcyclists.
Those are squids... (squirrelly young kids). They ride crotch rockets with reckless abandon, pissing off everyone around them.
I'm of the laid back cruiser crowd. We're in no real hurry. Looking for two lane backroads with some nice twisties and avoiding the cities and 4 lane warriors.

At some various points in my life, I think I have done just about everything that can be done while driving, including getting sick from too much drink and puking out the window on a highway. I only texted while driving on an open road with no traffic, but I stopped all that kind of nonsense. I still eat while driving and will talk on the phone while driving.

No Way...The penalties for talking on a mobile phone (without a headset) or texting while driving are clear cut ..Over here people have have been prosecuted for eating , or doing anything that the Police consider distracting

As a kid, I had a couple of episodes of riding drunk and having to hurl from the window. But fortunately I had the sense (or luck) to never get in that shape while driving. I think because someone in my family was notorious for driving drunk, it showed me at an early age the dangers of it and I've always been careful about it myself.
As far as texting/talking on the phone while driving, I guess it depends on where you're at. My intense hatred of it is because I have to negotiate city traffic around these idiots. I guess if it were a more rural setting, with less traffic and slower speeds it might not be as big a deal.
And my newest pet peeve - GPS screens mounted on the windshield in your field of vision. WTF? you're watching a TV screen instead of the road? I have a GPS, they're great. But I use it for directions, not how to steer the car. I swear sometimes, people are de-evolving...

I can't think of anything more dangerous or stupid to do whilst you are meant to be in control of motor vehicle.
But I am guilty of it.
