Applying makeup while talking on the phone, eating a cheeseburger, listening to the radio, and punching in coordinates on the GPS. But I was a bit distracted, because the kids were watching a movie in the back that sounded really good.

UC - I am just not technologically savvy or desirous.
Tec I've never texted while driving. I can barely manage it sitting on the couch.
Nope. I've never texted while driving... As Snoozy mentioned, I usually pull over if I have to talk on the phone... I've occasionally called a friend while on the interstate to warn her about a huge traffic jam due to an accident (no, it wasn't me!), but I hang up after 15 seconds.
I'll only call while driving if it's really urgent... I agree with that old song, "Keep your mind on your driving, keep your hands on the wheel, keep your snoopy eyes on the road ahead.... "

Don't agree with the texting while driving. If you were in an accident, even if it wasn't your fault I could see it being turned around on you because you were talking or texting on the phone. One bad incident and it could ruin your life and possibly others.
I was going around a curve where you had to slow down. I could see another car coming my way, but drifting over into my lane. I ended up stopping, but the other car kept coming straight for me. I couldn't see the driver because the windows were tinted, but I kept thinking, WTF why don't you see me and stop? The car smashed into my front end. When I opened the other car's door to check on them, it was a woman and there was a phone in the floor. My car was totaled and I think she was cited. Don't see her on the phone, but there was no other way to explain her coming into my lane and hitting me while stopped.

I don't text much and never while driving. I try not to talk on the phone while driving, but have a few times, it's not a good thing. I've heard the laws banning texting while driving don't work. People just hide the phone, so the police cannot see them, so it actually results in more accident (they have to look down more than if the phone was at steering wheel height). It's scary, I've seen people text and drive and it's not good driving. I've heard you are pretty much as impaired as if you were driving drunk. Talking while driving also causes impairment, but not at much.
NO, it is a completely idiotic thing to do. Here in the UK using a mobile phone whilst driving is illegal, fixed penalty of £60 plus 3 points on your licence. If it goes to court then you can be fined up to £1000 or £2500 if it a bus or large van.

By the way Minimus I think bikers are GREAT. You should come to the Ace Cafe Reunion here in England, 50,000 bikers descend on Brighton every year. I would be careful what you say though!!
habitual offender at stop lights/signs ......
I also admit to texting while operating a shopping cart......(probably need rehab for that one)
No it's way too dangerous and over here in Australia illegal.
