I've held a laptop on my knees and emailed while driving (I was stationary in a traffic jam though). Using mobiles is distracting but texting far worse. Any distractions can cause accidents.

My cousin was seriously injured while waiting at traffic lights. A car slammed into the back of her, rolling her car over in the process. It turned out the driver was checking out a girl walking along the pavement.

The law is that as long as you are behind the wheel, you can't text. My question, how can they be sure if you did text if the phone was on your lap??

The NC law is you can't text while the car is moving. Sitting at light = legal. Car moving = illegal. Stupid stupid stupid

Motorcyclists think they own the road

I bet you don't see too many bikers texting or talking on a cellphone while operating their motorcycle. Maybe we deserve the road more...

They're always speeding by in traffic and I've seen a lot of crazy in your face motorcyclists. I know not all are like that but some simply suck! (I'd like to run them over).
