But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"
He is the only archangel in the Bible with specific named dealings with Satan.
My reply: Yet the fleshly, 'emptied' Jesus dared to rebuke the devil many times...telling him "Go away Satan"
And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.
In the Great battle in heaven it is Michael and his Angels that fights Satan and his Angels casting them out of heaven. Wow! who is this michael?
My reply:5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. 5 Her child was caught up to God and his throne. 6 The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that there she might be taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days. 67 7 Then war broke out in heaven; Michael 8 and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, 8 but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.
Michael is a powerful angel...the previous verses establish the presence of Jesus...verse 7 is introducing a person other than Jesus, the one caught up to God and his throne.
