Shamus, not that you're serious, but Legally Blonde is a good movie with a good message.

The Godfather, definitely. I read the book before I saw the movie. I was under 18 and wasn't allowed to see it (I'm old as dirt).

My other favorite is "Angel Heart" The guy made a deal with the Debil.

    Imitation of Life was good.

I still love The Wizard of Oz.

Godfather I and II. III was very good, but not great. (and you can thank Sofia Copolla for turning acting like a manequin into an art.)

Tombstone is the ultimate man western this side of Unforgiven.

Another favorite of mine that was too adult for my mom to take me to see.

The great Walter Mathau in the movie Kotch

Shamus, it wasn't that bad. It actually had some entertaining lessons and values, portrayed in a funny way. Not a top movie of all time though.

Kotch is well done. At the time, this film helped ease the stigma of unwed motherhood. It's a sweet movie, entertaining and profound in it's message.

I have to also give Tombstone an honorable mention...Val Kilmer rocked! "What's the matter Johnny Ringo?...you look like someone walked on your grave!"
