I really love Easter, but especially beginning with Ash Wednesday and all of Lent. Lent is my favorite season of the year, even though I hate fish. No commercialism, just meditation and introspection. Then when Easter Sunday comes and we can sing "Alleluia!" again, I'm so ready for it!

I love Christmas.
I gotta admit that I do love Christmas as well - but I find that living without snow at Christmas just isn't the same. We used to drive around and look at all the beautiful lights ...walk down the streets with the snow fallling and see the lights twinkling through the flakes...the freshness of it all and the beauty of it all - the feel of warm air hitting your face as you came in from outside - smells of food that seem so much stronger and warmer in the cold frostiness of an evening. There is something so much more magical with snow at Christmas - sammieswife.

I'm going with christmas - it's a great day for the family to get together. We all used to play a huge cricket game after lunch, but with my cousins living in london we don't do that anymore.
We have a hot hot hot christmas - I would love to experience a white christmas one day.

I like having the Christmas decorations up all year long. The lights are a spectacular sight, and so is having all that tinsel and those bulbs in every possible shape. Somewhere I heard that all that stimulation can be good for the brain--perhaps that is one reason they banned it for the witlesses.

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. I LOVE it! The candy, costumes, and return to our pagan roots of life.

New Years Eve! My favorite memory from new years eve was when I was in the 8th grade and I came home from a basketball game to find my childhood crush babysitting my three year old brother. After he went to sleep, we watched CHIPS on tv and danced the new year in drinking homemade punch out of a big german stien. Simple, innocent, best party of my life. C.M. Thanksgiving, because I have a lot to be thankful for. I also love getting together with my sis and bro in law and their large family. I will be bigger this year by one, their new grandson due any time.
Halloween. I like the cooler weather and kids fussing over costumes. The simple fun involved in trick or treating. And also the bonfire and festivities of the night.
Christmas. I have always loved the decorations, music and smells. We wished for a white Christmas last year, but didn't get it. Maybe this year. I also love giving gifts and shopping at the stores full of holiday sounds and sights.
July 4th, I am proud to be American and fly my flag year round. But the 4 th I can share with my neighbors.
