    Okay so the Scientist used a pool of 90 people for the basis of his claim. - Not very scientific.

    And because of this non-scientific claim that was reported in the newspaper and not in a peer-reviewed journal, One doctor claims this is proof that this was evidence of orientation at birth. Where is that BS Detector.

    You missed the "The Swedish study, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences journal" bit.

    If you want to make a valid point actually reading the newspaper article before disagreeing with it might be a good start. Of course, if your opinion is already so fixed that you start disagreeing before you really know what you are disgreeing with, any comment you have to make on the scientific method needs to be taken with a kilo of salt.

    Burn

    I couldn't give a monkey's about your nationality. I forgot those humour tags again, damn it.

    You see Burn, as you've yet to bring anything really worth commenting on to this discussion other than the prejudices you arrived with, I'm just keeping myself entertained by endulging in mild lampoon. Unlike some of the 'argh, no Bibble say, we do, ugh ugh ugh" possee you seem to have an IQ above room temperature. I hope through constructive use of humour you might actually think outside of the book, I mean box, I mean book, and use the brains that god/darwin/muddernarture/runaway evolution based on sexual selection gave you.

    Are you taking my comments personally? I appreciate the Kilo of Salt not grain. But seriously. I missed the Journal part at the beginning but so what, it dosent suddenly disqualify everything else I said in my post.

    However, for those who believe it is a choice and a choice that god doesn't like, further proof of the role of biology in sexual oriontation is one in the eye to the concepts of a fair god, as what fair god could condemn people for a biological happenchance that did no harm to others? Like god cares what we do sexually as long as we are nice people...

    After having re-read your post and having re-read the article in question, I noticed that in your post you suggest that it is biological and not a choice, it sounds as if you think Gayness happens before birth.

    But if you read the article you would have noticed that at no point, in the study, do the scientist conclude that what you are claiming. Its perfectly possible that nurturing elements lead to changes in Brain chemistry. The study just points them in a certain direction.

    Just because a Lecturer at the University of London, (you know the addage (those that cant do, teach)) says that this is proof you are born gay, dosent mean its true.

    The whole point was you try to make out it is unscientific research not worthy of inclusion in a peer-reviewed journal when it is.

    What I actually say is;

    further proof of the role of biology in sexual oriontation

    No absolute determinism there

    But if you read the article you would have noticed that at no point, in the study, do the scientist conclude that what you are claiming. Its perfectly possible that nurturing elements lead to changes in Brain chemistry.

    They conclude;

    "that these differences could not be mainly explained by "learned" effects, but needed another mechanism to set them, either before or after birth".

    Learned effects would seem to include nurture. They are talking biology here.

    Why is it so important to you that it ISN'T biological? The same reasons that some people find it important that literal creative events happened? I am curious.

    Well I stand corrected.....Whats your name again...you sound like someone I know.

    I OBVIOUSLY do not know what I am talking about. I suppose when I read your post I was confused by the high level language you were displaying. Perhaps you can clue me in as to what you meant by this statement:

    further proof of the role of biology in sexual oriontation is one in the eye to the concepts of a fair god

    I appreciate the fruitage of your spirit, in helping me understand.

    Why is that people need to break down a simple sentence into fractions and take out meanings that aren`t there. (Im sure ive had this conversation before.) hmmmm
