Gadget,
I suppose you could kill a few hours queuing to get into Primark on Oxford Street. ;)
Got family coming on Saturday, DAMN IT :(
Dear All,
I'm afraid Claire and I are going to have to cancel after all. The hospital informed me I tested positive for cytomegalovirus again. Ordinarily, this would not be a problem for anyone - but for someone like me whose immunity has been compromised it can be potentially fatal. I'm back at the hospital tomorrow to have my blood checked again and also for a bone marrow biopsy (because it's around the 100-day mark after transplant). The hospital will monitor me closely and at the slightest hint of a problem I'll be readmitted!
My problem is I don't want to book the train and hotel/stay with friends then find out I have to cancel (there's no refund re the train). So, I'd rather cancel now and be safe and hopefully meet up with you all in the spring at the ApostaScotland!
Best wishes,
Ian
Very sad to hear your news Ian.
We all hope that everything turns out well for you and Bubble and I will most certainly miss you at the meal.
Everyone on here owes a debt of gratitude to you, as your amazing arranging of the Apostacurry last year showed how it should be done.
Good luck and all the best.
Love from Bubble and SAB

That's a shame Ian, but totally understandable. All the best, you'll both be missed.
