When it comes through, it’s so clear that you are astonished and amazed and you just "know." You can’t even talk about it with any sort of clarity.

    That's for sure!

To KNOW is to know something.

If what you KNOW is not something; it is nothing.

You can't KNOW nothing. You can only know you know nothing.

Milky Way solar system? Perhaps some of us could use a refresher course in astronomy as desperately as I need to learn how to spell.

What I continually find intriguing, is how people can so unquestionably and tenaciously attribute the Bible-deity for all existence. How pray-tell, does what is INFINITELY vast, originate from some thing so moronically human-like and small? and what is it in us that creates the illusion that it is actually honourable and wise to shrink and belittle it to such?

If we are incapable of pondering the blatant obviousness of this absurdity through, then it's little wonder we so easily come to cherish fairy-tails and myths.

Certainly the true source and sustenance of all universes (there may be countless universes) must be greater still than all existence and not so severely diminutive as an anthropomorphic tribal deity. If there ever was a glass-darkly we can place before our eyes, it a book we have come to know as The Holy Bible.

JT -- You're right in that one cannot confine God to such a small definition. Religion and religious writings are man's way of interacting with the Divine Presence then making some sort of attempt to explain the experience. It comes off looking and sounding SO SMALL! By doing this, they create as you call it, a tribal deity! This is not GOD.

Two things revealed in the Bible are:

    1. Insects have 4 legs!

    Terry do you mean this:

    Leviticus 11:20-22

20 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.

    21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;

22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind

23 But all winged creeping things, which have four feet, are an abomination unto you.

Terry did you ever stop to wonder about the animals in the past? So many animals have become extinct that we don't even know about. We may have found bones but....can one really determine what the actual creature really looked like? Only God will know.

Umm, does that mean I must have made sense?

"4:2 Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about. Since the molten sea was round with a diameter of ten cubits and a circumference of thirty cubits, we know that the biblical value of p is 3. (The actual value is approximately 3.14159.)"

This one, IMO is a little nit-picky.

    Uh!?

Did they have square circles too?

This is a tautology. An insect, you see, by definition must have 6 legs.

The obvious answer to my pointing out the "4 legged" insects is that the person (not God) who composed Leviticus was a mere human subject to observation errors.

    Occam's Razor and all that....

    Not so, kind sir!

The Egyptians had Pi more accurately than the Israelites! The Egyptians didn't rely on "revealed" wisdom from holy writings. The Egyptians had "false" gods, yet; they had accuracy in building. When Solomon built his "revealed" Temple he hired outsiders to make sure the darned thing didn't collapse!

Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume careful revelation from one's Supreme Being?

Rationally, I'm merely pointing out that every OPPORTUNITY for demonstrating something HIGHER than man's knowledge is failed time and again.

    The Bible FLUNKS divine authorship.

    That is all I'm saying.
