Recommend a GOOD film - no snakes, planes or spandex superheroes.

I have to concur with Daniel-p. I love Room With A View, one of my all time favorites as well.

An old movie I recommend: "Dr. Strangelove Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb" this is a comedy from around 1963 or 1964.

Another old movie: "Young Frankenstein" by Mel Brooks... hysterical

A new movie: "The Lake House" with Sandra Bullock, a love story but with some substance, not too sappy

well dh took my first suggestion "Devdas". I so love Bollywood, I could suggest over 20 movies that are great but all Bollywood.

So I'll have to suggest this loop -ta-loop movie. When I could afford digital cable this one kept me up all night...very interesting movie.

I am watching 'Sideways' right now. I find it very humorous. The wine snob is teaching the other mid life crisis man how to taste wine. After the lesson the expert turns to the gauche man, and realizes he is chewing gum. Tis’ funny…like teaching a pig to dance. What is the purpose?
