The shortages were due to getting rid of gas that had an additive that is environmentally unsafe.
Yeah, That's what they are telling us. But, is it true? Who knows. Sounds like a bunch of B.S. to me.
Anyway, there is no reason for the prices to go up as high as they are going, but that's not stopping it. The gas companies are getting richer every day. Profits are sky rocketing.

My husband's plane is in our garage being fixed so we're out of touch w/cost of AV gas.

Naw, you got that wrong. Never been a pilot, but love planes. I hang around the local airport a lot, so maybe tomorrow I'l find out how much avgas is around here. I'll let you know.

WHAT? You guys are paying for gas? I head over to the windowless KH durin' meetin' time, take an old piece of garden hose with me and siphon out all the gas my tank can hold. Then I leave one of those "funny checks" to pay um!

Juni, the price of avgas in R.I. is $3.80 a gallon as of today. Or, I should say this morning.
