I was kinda down and out today....

so I went for a ride and stopped by this scenic overlook not to far from my house. I sat on the bench there just looking at the Mohawk Valley at its best. I started thinking what a waste life is when you don't have anyone to share beautiful moments like this with. It kind of takes away from the beauty and serenity when you look at it from just one set of eyes. What the hell good is it to have a wife who thinks you're dead.( and treats you as such ). This religion has robbed me of all that I at one time held dear to my heart. So I came home and put on some good ole music and poured up a couple shots of Crown Royal and sat back reminiscing. I played one of my favorite oldies. Its a song by Foreigner entitled "I want you to know what love is". It sort of sums up my life right now. Did I really have love the way the Watchtower defines it. ( I don't think so ). Therefore the song. Here are the lyrics, all though I must say the lead singer really hits it home with his passion and feeling from the heart.

Ouch. Man Jim this sucks. I'm sorry.

As for the song by Foreigner, when I was df'd at age 20, this song became like a lifeline to me. Many times it moved me to tears. 17 years later, I still have really strong feelings about that song.

Hi IronClaw that's one great song! Only problem with the lyrics is - I know what love is, but I would love to know what it's liked to be loved. That would be great! Anyway mate - cheers.

That song is very sad but deeply healing too. Sorry about the wife, what happened to her promise to love, honor, and cherish? There is always hope for her though, and sometimes it's good to just go someplace and be sad for awhile so we can feel stronger and better! Blessings!

LDH-- This song has made me cry many a day. ( It really hits hard now since I left the Org and all the sh-ts starting to hit the fan ).

Sounds like a rough day, IronClaw. For all that JWs like to think that they have the right ideas about marriage, they foster some of the worst relationships I've ever heard of. Its sad that your wife feels she has to choose between you or the religion....maybe that will change some day. I hope so anyway.
