I've read nothing in the NT or OT that suggests there would be anointed and non anointed christians.

Doesn't that work both ways? What if the governing body goes against their annointed brothers? The unity is still gone. Do you think the governing body is higher than the rest of the Faithful and Discreet Slave?

well i look at the facts.the witnesses keep proclaimng Gods kingdom.they do all things that they did when these other anointed peopel went against.can you show me any apostates that have preached the good news of the kingdom through out the inhabited earth?

I'm just harping on this point because it's a question I was asking even when I was still active, and nobody could give me a reasonable answer. The society teaches that the FDS is the worldwide annointed class. They teach that the FDS uses the governing body to direct the organization. But what would happen if a so-called "annointed" person tried to teach something contrary in any way to what the governing body says? What if an "annointed" person printed up their own spiritual material and passed it around the congregation? They'd be escorted out before you could blink. But doesn't the FDS provide spiritual "food at the proper time"?

It seems to me that the society contradicts their own teaching outright, because obviously no "annointed" person has any authority whatsoever in the organization unless they have a title that the society gives them.

I guarantee you Kirk Cameron gets more "witnessing" done through his corny tv show on the religious channel than the watchtower does. If someone shows you proof in numbers that another group is doing more "witnessing", would you switch your loyalty to that group?

Would you say Paul, James, Cephas/Peter and Barnabas were "anointed"? Yes or No?

Did they always agree with each other? Yes or No?

i understand what your saying but from what i can see your dwelling on all the negitive all the question that cant be answered.instead of dwelling on all the positives.i belivive me going out preaching and living a clean life is jehovah Gods will.i serve jehovah no one else i beleive the governing body r giving out the spirtual food at the proper time.im not saying everything is correct.but im not going to give my faith up just because i dont understand a certain point.i try to look at the big picture.the isralite nation all ways did things wrong but faithful men like moses and abraham looked at the bigger picture

Ironic that this is the only use of the word 'anointed' in the NT that does not apply directly to Christ isn't it?

The next sentence says that Paul and other 'anointed' ones would not try to be 'masters over Your faith, but... fellow workers'

Doesn't sound like the one's that claim to be 'anointed' in Brooklyn now does it? Hmmmmmm?

Who chose the GB to be the spokesmen of the annointed? Nobody so they are self appointed. And they never listen to them about anything so how can they be called their spokesmen?
