OK looks and great personality wins me over if I can't have both. But I don't care how good looking or great the personality is if we are not sexually compatible there can't be more then a friendship.

Bottom line though ... I WANT IT ALL!

Well...they have to have Wit...that is the main thing...then funny, charming...etc...Plus, they need to keep up with me on the wit part.

Looks are one thing but they fade as time goes on. I need to laugh my ass off and have a great time.

I have to be physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually attracted to a person in order to be with them. I think my husband is the most handsome man I have ever seen, even better than Johnny Depp. (now THAT's sayin' alot!) We talk about this sometimes, and he doesn't think he is as attractive as I credit him with. But I am deeply in love with the whole package of him, and I would not/could not settle for anything less.

I personally like the "looks". You can't spot a beautiful personality from aross the mall. But a shell of a person is just that, a shell. So there needs to be balance.

I try to keep up appearances, but I think my personality is my most attractive feature.

    Looks are very important.

For some women, if you dont have the looks, you'll never be able to get to the introductory phase. Looks are like a prerequisite to talking.

THEN we can talk about personality. I've gotten into plenty arguments with attractive women because i refuse to believe that they'll go out with the "mediocore" guy simply because the guy is automatically profiled before they even have a chance to talk to them, so its no use after that.

As far as myself. I'm not going to lie, i only pursue women i find SOME attraction to. If i dont find you attractive in anyway, why should i lead you on?

I agree looks are important but personally I would sooner have personality and heres why.

I have been out with extremely good looking women (in my view) and while some had great personalities some had zero personality and that just gets boring and I mean boring; I like a challenge and questions on the first date such as 'what car do you drive' or 'what do you do for a living' have their place but they get tedious.

Sense of humour is a big thing for me and is the most important, but an equal denominator has to be intelligence; in essence my ideal woman is one who can enjoy a few drinks and a laugh talking complete and utter bollocks and yet is capable of discussing/debating more serious issues on other occasions.

Gotta call bullsh*t on some of you fellers....

I have several good girlfriends who are ALL the fab attributes you list, but carry extra weight, and don't get a second look from the guys.

I think guys SAY looks are secondary, but for most this isn't true.

I see too many guys with 'arm-charms'...

Don't they know she's half the gene pool for his future children?

Neither "wins". I look to both.

But if a woman is stunning, but is a total bitch (and I'm not talking strong-willed here) and dumb as a box of bricks, she doesn't stand much of a chance with me for the long haul. Though, being a bachelor, we might stay friends for special needs.

If a woman has a real winner of a personality, she tends to look much more attractive to me anyway.

There is no black and white with me though. All shades of grey.
