    'BADDON -

Recent research has shown that the gay gene is passed down throught the female line. How it conferred survival on its inheritors is anyone's guess, as society has changed so much in the last 150 000 years.

    don't now though...

even if it could be traced to a specific gene, it would not have to confer survival to its inheritors, there are plenty of examples of species such as bees who make nearly their entire colony from sterile females who support the colony as a whole... and it is known that many homosexuals have heterosexual relationships and even children at some point in their life, even if it was only to fool or please others or an attempt on their part to change, etc.

in some cultures, such as a tribe I read about of native american indians, they had a special place for gay males as tribal shamans who bridged between male and females like marriage counselors, they were even allowed to marry men... I find it odd that so few cultures adopted such an enlightened view.

There has been a little flurry of stories in the UK press over the last couple of days about the existence of homosexuality in animals. It exists and is well documented giving the lie to the position that homosexuality is 'against nature'.

    From The Times: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,564-2527347.html

The facts have been staring scientists in the face for years, Bockman says, as he stands in front of the gay giraffes. “It’s fairly easy to see because the giraffe’s sex organs are not what you’d call modest.” The problem, he contends, is that when researchers are confronted by such behaviour, they choose to ignore it. They claim it is irrelevant to their work, or fear ridicule or the loss of their grants if they draw attention to it. They prefer to describe two animals of the same sex frolicking with each other as “competition, a form of greeting, ritualised combat, things like that — even when we are talking full anal intercourse with ejaculation”.

    From The Independent: http://comment.independent.co.uk/columnists_a_l/johann_hari/article2124227.ece

For the past five years, a team of researchers at Orgeon State University has been investigating the sexuality of sheep. Early on, they proved what every sheep farmer knows: some 8 per cent of rams are gay. When it comes to sex, these woolly homosexuals shun ewes and engage exclusively in ram-on-ram action. They will swiftly pounce on any ram stuck in a fence - the sheep equivalent of the prison showers.

It seems that research is being tested to 'straighten out' these unproductive gay rams and it actually does work! Can you imagine the reaction of homophobes who believe a 'cure' has been found?

    This could get . . . messy.

Yes,not only does the Bible say in 1 Cor 6:11 but if a person can go from Heterosexual to Homosexual than one can go from Homosexual to Heterosexual. Magaizines are brought up like to keep the presses rolling.
