6/15 WT- GB More Powerful than Worldwide Anointed- Don't Judge Partaking

  So- Here we go again. More of the latest from the June 15th " witness only " Watchtower. Under the article " The Faithful Steward and It's Governing Body " there were some very telling quotes which could indicate how the WT society is tightening the control of it's members - and trying to justify more partaking of the emblems at the Memorial since the numbers partaking have gone up from about 8,000 to 10,000 since they no longer feel that the sealing of the anointed ended in 1935.

  So first off, notice this quote indicating the importance of elevating the governing body over the rest of the anointed around the earth. Paragraph 16 it states , " Are all these anointed ones throughout the earth part of a global network that is somehow involved in revealing new spiritual truths ? NO. " The paragraph adds, " Only a very limited number were used to write the books of the Bible and oversee the Christian congregation. " Paragraph 18 continues, " Similarly, today a limited number of anointed men have the responsibility of representing the slave class. They make up the GOVERNING BODY of Jehovah's Witnesses . THESE spirit-anointed men oversee the Kingdom work and the spiritual feeding program. " So it's not like the society used to claim where they gather insight from ALL AROUND THE EARTH from the other anointed to disperse information to their members. If you are anointed but not on the governing body - you DO NOT have the same authority and power as they do ! I see this as a consolidation of control and power in the WT society and they are letting ALL other anointed in their organization be aware of that FACT . Scary , isn't it ? Absolute control. Dictatorship.

  Next- Notice THIS quote as if to justify the increasing numbers of those partaking of the emblems and claiming to be anointed now. Paragraph 15 states, " On the other hand, how should other Christians view a person who claims to have received this anointing and begins to partake of the emblems at the Memorial ? HE OR SHE SHOULD NOT BE JUDGED. The matter is between this person and Jehovah. " Having been raised as a witness I remember vividly elders taking people aside counseling them sternly when partaking of the emblems , telling them drinking unworthily would be a sin in Jehovah's eyes. It was ALWAYS discouraged as the number was dwindling of those claiming to be anointed. But NOW- I see damage control going on here. Because of the new view of 1935 not being the end of sealing of the anointed the WT society HAS TO GO LIGHT on people partaking as to not raise any red flags about their new interpretations of more anointed coming in !

  This cult is so insidious how they slyly accomodate new thinking into their members while TOTALLY CONTRADICTING long held views they have always had. Very confusing, and very misleading. The WT society is all about controlling their members - no matter what they have to do to accomplish it. As always I look forward to your comments. Peace out to all, Mr. Flipper

  Well what happens if it keeps increasing, when will it reach 145,000? Then they'll say what they always say, some are partaking by mistake...

  As for the governing body, sounds like a mysoginistic bunch of old farts who twist scripture to their own ideals. Having spoken to some witlesses lately, I've noticed a few strong themes which hold all the BS together, armageddons coming(when hell freezes over), we'll all be perfect in the paradise, meetings..meetings.... Without the continuous mind numbing and carrots on sticks, the rest of the cards would come crashing down. Wy can't there be another governing body in another country, why is itdown the road from the UN security council, its hard for jehoover to waster them and miss the governing body, they should move further away.

  So back in the day, "Anointed" meant something. Now, it means you are represented by the Governing Body. This almost works, but they created the class system then refer to their class system in the first century as an example. But if they were wrong about it today, they would be wrong about the example. Not circular logic, but close- they are using their thoughts on the matter to support their thoughts on the matter.

  I still see that as condescending and actually telling us to doubt they are anointed, but "don't tell them your doubts in case you are wrong."
  This way, they are saying the numbers are wrong, but it's not our fault. I know that's confusing, but what isn't about the whole matter?

  CRAZYBLONDEB- I agree sis ! We are passing Merlot in our house tonight ! And I can even drink it not CLAIMING to be anointed ! Isn't THAT a concept ! ?

  RATHFEAR- I've though that myself - what if the number gets to 145,000 ? I'm sure the GB will think of SOME excuse. The GB is using fear of a pretend Armageddon to keep the rank and file members in line. Good idea you have on Why CAN"T they have a governing body in other countries ? It's because only 12 old farts in Brooklyn make the laws- that's why. It's a dictatorship- plainly put. Ridiculous.

  OTWO- It is bizarre as I always heard while in the witnesses that the " Aid " book and the " Insight on the Scriptures " book was information gleaned from ALL the anointed around the world. I think that was a PR move to make the witnesses THINK that all the anointed had input. I think it's always just been the 12 old farts in Brooklyn making the rules. I wonder what the GB will do when the partakers number 100,000 ? What will they say about all the 1st century anointed? That they were DFed ? Disapproved ? I think the WT society is moving towards a slippery slope here and will eventually fall off the cliff

  Obviously, this means that they can't rest because of so many people wondering why the heck so many "new annointed" are coming out of the woodwork!!!! Notice they use the words "a person who CLAIMS to have received this annointing." So they are planting doubt in the individual JW's mind while at the same time telling them not to judge....not wonder there is so much confusion....

  KUDRA- Very true. The WT society is always wanting their cake and eating it too. I think they want the whole damned grocery store . For free.

  QUANDRY- I'm sure that the WT society is getting lots of feedback on all the increased amount of people who partook of the emblems at this years Memorial so they have to try to make it appear it's O.K. and like it was in their plan all along ! They are strange that way. They can never appear like they aren't in control at all times - otherwise the rank and file members will sense it and even more of them will leave ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

  Flipper, I just had confirmed yesterday that a very prominent elder in our city (on every committee and subcommittee and sub sub subcommittee ...) who is used at all the c/ass, d/ass and international’s has outed himself as an anointed at this year’s memorial.

  This elder is such a political heavyweight here in Australia, aged about 58, constant trips to Sydney Bethel and even NYC, lots of contacts and allies (and a few enemies). He speaks in the most condescending manner and does the fake smiles from the platform, fake warmth, but I digress...

  My point is that I am sure that there are a number of powerbroker brothers like him that will come out of the woodwork and claim to be anointed. This article will prevent them from wanting to take on an even more prominent role perhaps??? More like the GB recognising that yes, the number of partakers is going to increase, but you are not special or powerful, only us GB’s are all powerful (insert mad insane power drunk laugh here).

  I suppose Paul was dissin' the GB when he said of them at Galatians 2:6 "But on the part of those who SEEMED to be something—whatever sort of men they formerly were makes no difference to me—God does not go by a man’s outward appearance—to me, in fact, those "outstanding" men imparted nothing new.

  He might as well have said ... "Those who dreamed they were smokin' hot apostlz - what-evah!...Don't make me no nevah mind - nor God neither, those guys - so full of themselves didn't have squat to say - not one blessed thing!"
